Great Getaway
We have been to the Ocean Key in Key West previously and had a great time, and our recent trip was no exception. The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, including upgrading our room to a one bedroom suite from a junior suite. The room was spacious and included a large kitchen area. The location is terrific - it is walking distance to all of the action in Key West, but in a location where you can get away from the activity of Duval Street.

If you want to get away from the crowds on Duval, there are other restaurants that are a short walk from the hotel near the harbor.

great long weekend get away
Ocean Key Resort was all I had hoped it would be. We did not rent a car. As it turned out we had no need to. All restaurants were walking distance. We rented bicycles for the whole weekend and rode around the island everyday. Even did some sightseeing. At night everyone near and far would gather at the pier to see the sun set. My husband said I made a good chioce and now wants to go back again next year. The room was very spacious and had a balcony overlooking the town and the ocean. The bathroom was very spaciouis but needed shelving or cabinets to hold your personal belongings.

Short walk from hotel
About a fifteen minute bike ride from the hotel, we found a very nice beach. It was located in Fort Zachary. It cost $1.50 to get in. But it was clean and private. You could even buy refreshments. Just make sure you wear swim shoes as there are many rocks; but the water is beautiful

A Place to Relax
The Ocean Key Resort was an excellent location for the first time visitor. The suite was very comfortable and clean. We spent time on our balcony enjoying the cool breeze in the mornings and late afternoon. We had a great view of looking down Duvall Street and the water view as well. The sunsets in Key West was awesome! All of the sights were pretty close to our hotel, so we enjoyed strolling the streets of historic Key West. We parked the car when we arrived and never used it until we left. The people in the shoppes were very friendly. There were plenty of restaurants that fit any budget and they offered diversed menus to choose from. We enjoyed every restaurant from breakfast to dinner. Key West is expensive in the tourist areas, so come prepared with additional money to spend. We had a wonderful time in Key West and we felt refreshed once we left Key West.

Great location, great room, friendly staff
The Ocean Key Resort was one of the nicest rooms that I have ever stayed in. The room was actually a Jr. Suite and looked like it was recently remodeled. The view was wonderful, the room was clean and the staff was very courteous and helpful. The pool was in the process of being remodeled, so they paid for us to go to another hotel pool. The hotel was located at the end of Duval Street, so it was very close to all of the action of Key West, FL.

at the Ocean Key Resort you can step out of the door of the hotel and rent jet skis or scooters, board a boat for a sunset cruise or go parasailing. Mallory square is just outside the wall of the hotel parking garage and couldn't have been more convenient. Walking up and down Duvall street was a great experience too.
