Sunrise Suites Resort

Spacious, clean, quiet. A bit dated though. We were able to check in at 11:30.

Traveled in a group of six. Suite was very spacious, affordable, close to the Key West party scene, definitely met our needs!

Before I begin I'll admit I haven't stayed at many Resorts, just hotel rooms. I expected more because of the title. The suite itself was perfect. No complaints at all. It was clean, bug-free, spacious. Everything we needed and wanted. I was surprised, however, that there was a $10 additional cleaning charge per day if you opted for it. We did not and it was fine. I was disappointed to find out that we had to go to the office to get shampoo, soap, etc supplies that are normally provided with a room of this cost. No clean towels unless we requested them and/or picked them up ourselves. The location is near the airport which is actually good if you want to be 4 miles from the action. You don't really need a car to get around, but be aware that parking is $13-30 each day, and spaces are scarce. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel if you want a quiet, out-of-the-way place and don't mind taking a bus to the hot spots.

Gave one star because can't give no stars. Reservation was for three nights non-smoking room for two adults. Room given was noticeably smoked in recently and so room was changed without any issue. Room above our new room was rented to early twenties renters at 11pm the first night. The party noise continued until 2:45am when I called the "Emergency Contact" phone number listed on the face of the room phone. The recorded message said "Mailbox Full." I then called the local police who dispatched two officers. I met them outside and they quickly located the room from the noise outside. The officers went to the room and then came back to ours to tell us they had told the group to stop the noise. The next morning the manager denied the smoke smell in the first room, denied the phone mailbox was full, and questioned whether there was any noise problem. I asked her if she bothered to call the police officer who responded using his business card which I gave her assistant that morning. At that point she hung up on me. Perhaps she was late for a Customer Service seminar.

clean and quiet 2 bedroom condo not too far from Duval street

We only stayed one night - but lots of space for the price. The room sleeps 6 comfortably. The decor is older beach style- but very clean room. Decent size kitchen and comfy beds. 5 Minute cab ride to Duval/Downtown Key West - with 4+ persons, the cab is $4.50 flat per person, which beats $20 parking space search near Duval Street. Doesn’t get much better. We had a great time. We stayed in room 411 - end unit no neighborhoods on either side - which was very nice.

Plenty of room, nice setting, taxi's got here easy. Comfy beds and nice layout.

The room slept 6... The pullout couch was so very uncomfortable. It was dirty under the mattress. Managements solution was to give us two more comforters to make the couch more "cushy". I would NEVER recommend this resort to anyone. I was happy we just stayed there one night.

Suites do need major updates. Away from hustle & bustle---could be a good thing if transportation provided to where the action is because parking close to where you want to be can get quite expensive & too far to bike. More attention should be given to providing information to guests regarding places to eat, transportation options, local attractions, etc. instead of having a self-help style.

Sunrise Suites Resort is conveniently located for first tine visitors to Key West. The rooms facing West overlook salt marshes but also pick up a lot of noise from the Airport. Your best bet will be to request a room facing East for pool views and less noise. The suites are pleasant, but are lacking in repair of minor issues. Our screen doors to the balcony were without wheels and not secure in their tracks. The patio table top had been severely melted in the middle and a towel hook was falling off the wall in the master bath. Lastly, the equipment in the room was outdated in the fact that there was a VHS Video player rather than a DVD player for watching movies.
