Great Stay for what we paid!
Hotel room was pretty clean. There were a few hairs in the bathroom and there was dust on the plastic covers of the cups. The pull out couch was really uncomfortable for an adult but my 5 year old didn't seem to mind. We got a 1 bedroom suite with kitchen and laundry for 69 bucks and that made it worth while. If I had spent more on the room I would have been more disappointed. My mom always said You get what you pay for. Nothing in life is free. But this was pretty close to getting something for nothing. If you can get the room for that price or better I'd take it because the pool amenities were great. We had a great time using the pool - and it was in a very pretty setting. The hotel was close enough to Disney that we were able to enjoy Magic Kingdom without the high price of staying on their proterty.

A Realistic Review
The hotel staff was friendly and check in was prompt. The location was excellent, just make a right and your on a major intersection 192 and Hoagland. The room that we got was huge, more than enough space for both of us. It was two floors with the bedroom on top with a king sized bed and large bathroom. The place was clean but you can tell that they need to renovate to make it more attractive. The kitchen should have been better stocked. It is pretty tough to make eggs in a pot without a frying pan. They also need to put air fresheners in the place. It smelled musky. The water smelled funny too but I think that might be just Florida. The amenities looked good. The pool was opened until 1 am so that was good. There was also a tennis and basketball court. The internet cafe kind of sucked. It was opened from 1-10 pm and they only had two computers working. I think they have WIFI to in the building. I go there for the free soft drinks and snacks. Also, go to the check in building they have great coffee and cookies for free. They will sucker people into the their time share presentation. It was not bad. I got free disney parking for a week out of it. Overall for the price you pay it was well worth it. All the hotels/resort in the area are either the same or worse. If your rich go spend money on the disney property. There you are guaranteed quality. This place was average overall.

make a right when you exit the resort on to Hoagland and make either left or right onto 192. This is the main tourist strip. They have lots of dining you can choose from. It is also a good route to take to disneyworld.

Great pool area/beautiful landscaping
We really enjoyed the pool area and thought the landscaping was very well kept. The room we had was large and so we had plenty of room.

My review of Oak Plantation Villas Resort
The room was comfortable but there did seem to be a slight odor upon first entering the villa. Keeping the door open for about 10 minutes seemed to do the trick. The one bedroom we stayed in was a decent size. Dual washer and dryer worked fine but drying clothing took way too long! Basketball and tennis courts on the property are nice options for a day away from the theme parks, and the pools are also nice. I must say, however, I ordered a pina colada at the pool and it was terrible! Staff was pleasent and helpful, and overall we had a nice stay. A good value for the money.

Great Value for your buck
The Oak Plantation hotel was a great value for the money. I was completely satisfied with everything. My only complaint was the shuttle service. It was a NIGHTMARE!!! The shuttle only came once in the morning and then dropped you off in the evening. Well, when you have little kids you want an opportunity to go back to your room and relax and nap. You don't want to have to be in the hot sun at the parks walking around all day. Also, we got picked up at 7:30, but didn't get to the parks until after 9:00 am. I missed my shuttle to Busch Gardens, that was scheduled for 9:15 from Sea World because of this. That was my only problem with this hotel.

Short walk from hotel
I had shipped food down for my continuing Disney trip from here. Now that I know there's a Super Walmart right down the street, next time I'll just call a cab, and buy my things from the Walmart. It's a lot cheaper and a lot easier.

Very family friendly
The hotel was pretty decent. Didn't like that fact that you had to pay to have a housekeeper to come in to change towels and tidy up the place.

Great for the Money
I was pleased when I opened the Frontdoor, for the Money you can't ask for more. If they would replace the Carpet with tiles I would say it's an outstanding place for a small Family.

Hotel staff not quick to respond
We rented 2 condos, one on top of the other. The top one leaked from the tub into the bottom and it took more than 12 hours to move us into a room that was water proof. Once we were in the new room the stay was nice. There is not much to do on the grounds so plan on going out someplace for fun. The movie night was OK, but the game room and internet cafe are lowsey and over priced. The grounds could be pretty but the staff doesn't clean up leaves, trash, or debris so it looks a little trashy. The staff tries to get you to go through a 90 minute seminar on buying a timeshare, it's not worth the time or the money needed to purchase a flimsy built condo. One very bad thing is, if your a lite sleeper, don't stay here because the planes are landing within 1 mile and the noise is very jetty all evening and night long.

Excellent Value
Great Value for a quiet, gated, condo resort. Only minutes to Downtown Disney area for evening activity; easy drive without having to get onto I-4. We were day-tripping to beaches (Clearwater to the West and Cocoa to the East) It was nice to have the space and convenience of a condo rather than a hotel room. Unit was clean, comfortable and well equiped.
