Holiday Inn LAKE BUENA VISTA DOWNTOWN

We chose the hotel because it was within walking distance to Downtown Disney and we wanted a vacation without driving. We had previously stayed at a competitor hotel closer to Downtown Disney by about 3 minutes walk but chose this hotel as a change of pace (but was also $20 per night less expensive!). This hotel was heads above the competitor in all areas important to us including room cleanliness, bed comfort, swimming pool and spa cleanliness - the pool was beautiful with plenty of towels poolside and loads of lounges to relax. The housekeeping staff was most accommodating, leaving plenty of extra towels and shampoo and conditioner. The desk staff was both friendly and helpful, the rooms, recently renovated, were spotless. This was the best weekend we have spent in the area in several years. I strongly recommend others to try the amenities of this hotel if you are looking for an immaculate rooe within 8 minutes walk of Downtown Disney. By the way, bus shuttle is available to all Disney parks from the hotel.

The hotel was just remodeled from the ground up, so the facilty was absolutely beautiful! The room was large, very clean and had a great view. The entire hotel centers around the pool, so it is a very fun place to stay with kids. The only complaint I had for the trip was the $10 per night parking fee that they told us about upon our arrival. (or $16 per night valet - it is your choice). I dislike undisclosed charges because many times it creates an unfair disadvantage for those hotels that include these type of charges in their nightly rates.

Very pleasant stay in a clean,updated hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I experienced great customer service upon my arrival all through out my stay and departure. The view from my room was spectacular and the beds very comfy. I will be back.

The hotel was clean when we first recieved it and when we came back to the room after a long day out we found the room clean and tidy. The room was always restocked with towels,soap,and clean sheets. The location of the hotel is incredible. The amusement parks are super close and great food around the area.

everything was great the hotel, the rooms very clean, the hotel in great location, near to parks and to cheap restaurants, i really recomended to everybody.

Every single time we encountered hotel staff, they said hi and asked if we needed anything. Extremely friendly and helpful.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for three nights at the end of July. We decided to stay at this hotel because of the close location to Disney World. We ended up checking into the hotel WAY later than we had expected because of our flight being three hours late. We checked in at 3 AM and the front desk was very cheerful and understanding of our situation and was able to keep our reservation of one king bed instead of two queens. The room was done tastefully, with lots of space and modern touches. Everything in the room seemed to be recent and newer. The beds were comfortable and there was a flat-screen LCD tv as well. The only downside about the room was the smallish bathroom, however not much time was spent in there so it really didn't matter. PROS: -Excellent location to Disney. -Room comfort. -Friendly staff. -Excellent food. CONS: -Daily pay for parking (10$ per day). -Very high taxes (min. 16% a day).

We wanted the Disney experience but didn't feel it was necessary to stay right in the parks. We instead chose Downtown Disney and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The entire hotel is brand new; had been gutted and basically rebuilt. It is immaculate! The beds were the best we've slept in in ages and the rooms were spacious and spotless. Every single person we interacted with on the staff was genuinely happy to be there and that made a great impression; everyone went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome. We sure did! This hotel really could have cost double what it cost us; I've stayed in more pricey hotels and not had nearly as pleasant an experience. There were a couple of things I wished would have been a little different - like more racks or hooks to hang towels on after showering. And considering we have 2 little boys who love cooling off in the Disney water features, somewhere to hang their wet clothes would have been awesome. We also only had 3 dresser drawers for a family of four, which wasn't too bad since we tried to pack lightly, but if we were staying longer than these 3 days it could have been a little inconvenient. Those things were not deal-breakers though; this place was great and we are looking forward to staying here again.

Rooms were quite nice. Restaurant service was slow.
