Awesome hotel

This was one of the nicest hotels we stayed at. Great location and within walking distance to Hollywood Studios, Boardwalk, and Epcot. Would gladly stay here again.

Dolphin

I booked a disney resort wanting to go to the theme parks and figured we could save money on the parking fees for the theme parks for two days. To my surprise when we ge there there were two more charges. One was parking at $10.00 a day. The other was a $10.00 fee for internet, phone, a 2 bottles of water, and the healthclub. Did not need any of the afore mention items and was surprised at this charge. We did not recieved our 2 free bottles on Fri as well. The hotel is in a great area and the room was nicely decorated. The view was good. Since I do not have a tub at home I enjoy baths. The soap holder on the wall underneath it had mildew. only visable if taking a bath. The water also goes in spurts as with most hotels it always seems to happens when rinsing off. The beds are comfortable with the exception of NO fitted sheet. If you turn moderate to alot the sheets will become all bunched up and you will sleep on the mattress it self. That is what happened both nights to both me and my husband on two different beds. Overall was not bad but did not save anything buy staying there and next time will stay at a cheaper resort with hopefully no hidden charges

coo's getaway

the staff wa very nice we were there for our honeymoon and thay gave us a very nice room and the water taxis were right next door and the bus shuttle's were very convenunt. the only bad part was that thay charge for parking even for handicap parking and if you park in valet handicap parking thay charge you the 9.00 daliy parking and the 16.00 overnight parking so if you don't catch it thay won't change the price.

Walt Disney World Dolphin

We experienced a tremendously rude person checking us in, who, I still believe gave us the worse room in the hotel when I would not agree to upgrade for forty additional dollars per night. We arrived to a stuffy room with a view of the top of the hotel, the AC was turned off. The manager, [...] did agree to move us, and found us another room which was fine. He was very gracious and very apologetic. I also did not appreciate the mandantory ten dollar addition daily to my bill for two bottles of water along with other amenities I had no interest in. In the past I have stayed at Disney owned properties, and there is definitely a HUGE difference in how their teams are managed. Westin vs. Disney. Twice we received bad information from Westin Guest Services/ Consierre (two different people on two different occassions) staff as to the time of park openings and fireworks displays. We'd have missed the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom all together, if not for the help of a staff member at the Polynesian Resort, where we happened to eat dinner. The heavenly beds were the saving grace - and truly the highlight of our stay at the Dolphin. I don't know that I will ever stay there again, and I would not recommend it to people/families who are at Disney for a family vacation. It is great for a convention or business, the food was decent, the hotel is beautiful, and the beds are perfection, but if people are looking for the "Disney experience" - DON'T stay at the Dolphin.

Specific to a trip to DisneyWorld, I would recommend that they double check information given them by Dolphin Staff. But firstly, I would recommend they stay somewhere that is a true "on property" Disney hotel.

Walt Disney World Dolphin review

As we drove up to the hotel we were greeted by friendly staff. The service was superb. But when we got to the room we found garbage stuffed behind the tv and our shower did not drain, making it difficult to give a baby a bath. We talked to the front desk and they immediately placed us in a different, bigger and better room and they were very apologetic. They had cribs available and you could also request baby proofed rooms. The service was outstanding. The hotel is right next to Disney Boardwalk and Epcot. You can take a complimentary water taxi to these places or you could walk the short distance. We had a great time.
