Miami Marriott Hotel Biscayne Bay

Overall a nice hotel but in a bad location that is quite scary and would nOt recommend for a family

It has been a very dad experience. Hotel is being renovated . I was told that renovations started from January but customers were not told. Nothing was noted on their website. If i knew i would make other choices. Apart from the bedrooms there were no other spaces available or facilities. Breakfast was served in a corridor area. You had to enter the hotel from the car park door where it was too hot and distressful. I had paid for breakfast but was not clear in their accounts and asked me to pay again. Of course i refused. This is a shame for Marriot standards. Can you complain to them as well?

The lobby, lounge and restaurant were really nice. Tmobile service is not good there. If you need to use your phone often or data card (tmobile) you don't want to go there. The toilet ran and the tub was extremely slow to drain. Other than that, it was fine.

Very nice hotel but you should know about the drawbacks before staying here. First, no free wi-fi. If you want internet in your room, it will cost $12.95 per day. You can get 2 free hours per day in the hotel lobby. Next, my room smelled like smoke. We were told the hotel was non-smoking and they offered to send someone from housekeeping to check it out. No one ever came. We got used to the smell eventually. Next, parking costs $26.00 per day. You really need a car to get around Miami and to have in and outs in the hotel parking garage is expensive. I would not recommend because of the extra costs assoc with this hotel.

First of all, the staff at the front desk are not quite charming and even though the hotel is aimed at business people, everyone expects a nice and helpful staff. Another thing that I did not like about the hotel was that they charged for everything (Internet, Local calls, rolling beds). And another thing I did not like was that our room for 5 people but there were only 2 double beds, and although it was mentioned on the room booking I thought they had a sofa bed or something, so we had to ask for an extra bed, they should at least include it on the advertised fare. Location, cleanliness and the building maintenance are extraordinary.

Everything inside this hotel was wonderful. Great service, great food, very comfortable rooms. The only problem we had was the outside, their parking garage. Our rental car was parked in their garage and was broken into. The thief shattered the driver side window and stole our personal GPS system. Security at the hotel said they caught the criminal on camera but had no way of identifying him.

I enjoyed my time at the Marriott. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. I had a room with a great view of the bay. I would definitely stay there again.

Good central location with a safe environment. Plenty to do, good close choices for meals and shopping. Particularly convienent to Miami Univ. Hospital complex.

Close to everything, yet out of the South Beach party zone. Good for families with children. Nice bay view. Parking is $26 per day for in and out priviliges.

Great experience. The hotel staff got us checked in early since we had to get off the cruise ship in the morning.
