No Shuttle...
We stayed at the Chelsea from May 10-13. The final day we were scheduled to take the shuttle at 1p. We checked out at 11:30 and went off to get something to eat. at 12:07 I happened to look at my phone and I see there was a miss call from the hotel. I called back and they said that I missed my shuttle. I said that's not right we are taking the one at 1p. I rush back to the hotel and she says there's nothing that they can do that I have to pay for a cab ($33) because the 1p shuttle broke down and they can't accommodate us to get the airport. I said what about the resort fees I paid that include shuttle service. She said it didn't. I said that's not what I read!! She was so rude and just basically told us to figure out how to get to the airport on our own. I was so upset! Their level of customer service is non existent. That was the one lady at the desk on Monday the one that was there on Saturday night you could find her outside drinking and smoking hookah with hotel guest in the outside patio. Honestly, it's not worth staying here. It was actually my 2nd time (the first time I didn't have these issues) but they will never see me again. Never.

Clean, well located
Novice travellers - we found the price reasonable for excellent SOBE location. Easy walk to beach, shopping, eating. Wonderful Art Deco area. Con - Air conditioner blows right on bed. had to turn off. Overnite parking not available - valet service for $32. Found parkade nearby (at 7th) for $20.

Horrible
Do not stay here ! Checked in and first thing I saw was a big cockroach ! Front desk girl was rude and glared at me the whole eight days I stayed there . Loud music you cannot get away from roaches in the room and they try to charge you 40 extra a night for 2 people instead of one . Don't do it stayed in many hotels in the past in south beach this by far was the worst !

Cautiously calling it great
I saw a lot of reviews warning me to be wary of unauthorized charges and loud music after I booked. I'm willing to call this place great as none of those things happened to me. But i'm not saying it couldn't happen to you, so be careful when you stay here. This is a great place if you're looking to party, chill and enjoy South Beach. Not so much if you're a family. Make sure to get a room on the upper floors or else you will hear the house music that seems to be continually playing. For guests, they have an awesome deal called happy hour where guests get unlimited drinks between 7 and 8 everyday. You read that right. Our room was clean and had a great interior design. Make sure you do an inventory of the liquor to avoid those pesky charges. As long as you do that, you should be fine and have a great time in South Beach.

Great boutique hotel!
Very nicely decorated boutique hotel right in the middle of everything. Definitely recommend. The bartender was very chatty and helped us get a deal for an evening out starting with cocktail hour at one of their sister hotels and then a limo ride to an old Miami club. Had a great time!
