Hotel in Miami Beach's retro capital of cool

Famed architect Morris Lapidus changed the face of Miami Beach with this 627-room hotel, an original example of the Miami Modern style. The hotel opened its doors in the 1950s, and since then, the luxury hotel has hosted Hollywood's elite and undergone a multimillion dollar renovation that includes an Ocean Tower. Sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean, softly lit rooms and glamorous restaurants and bars seduce visitors to this Miami Beach institution.

Highlights
  • 627 rooms on fashionable Collins Avenue
  • Designed by notable architect Morris Lapidus, the father of the Miami Modern style
  • Massages, facials and body treatments available in spa suites
  • Multiple restaurants and bars onsite, including 1500 Degrees, Cabana Beach Club, the Lobby Bar and Starbucks
  • Infinity edge pools and fitness center
Rooms

Soft lighting -- from hurricane candles to contemporary wall sconces -- create a sultry feel in the 631 rooms and 96 suites. Minimalist design elements, such as low-slung lounge chairs and graphic horizontal canvases, add urban flair.  Floor-to-ceiling windows deliver breathtaking views of the Atlantic and Intracoastal Waterway. Guests in the Ocean Tower bungalow suites enjoy extra luxuries such as floating staircases and oceanfront balconies.  All rooms are smoke-free and boast an HDTV, iPod station and Wi-Fi.

Features

The story behind the hotel draws history buffs and tourists, but there's more to this haven than architecture appeal. The luxury property offers a well-rounded list of amenities. Guests can enjoy the DJ in the lobby bar on Saturday nights or sample organic fare at 1500 Degrees or Floribbean cuisine at Cabana Beach Club. Eden Roc Renaissance Miami Beach introduces the ELLE Spa that pampers guests with a full array of indulgent, luxurious treatments, guaranteed to leave them refreshed, relaxed and ready to face the world feeling completely rejuvenated from head to toe.

Great trip!

Very clean, great stay. Nice they have an adult pool and a family/kids pool.. Best of both worlds. Reasonable beach eating. Expensive 1500 restaurant. $10.00 gets you to Lincoln road where all the shopping is. The Forge restaurant which is a 10min walk is pricy but worth it. We will be back!

Very good stay

Third time at the Eden Roc, everything was what I expected...a very good stay! Had a rental, so the back and forth to South Beach wasn't an issue.

Wonderful family resort

We were looking for a resort that had everything there onsite and the Eden Roc had it to a "T." We had an ocean view room and it was BEAUTIFUL! There was beach access right off the back of the resort, 4 pools (1 just for adults), 2 hot tubs (all outside), 2 restaurants, a gym & spa, lovely lounge a Starbucks in the lobby, which was a plus for us. We got spa treatments, ate at both restaurants, food was great, we went jet-sking and took taxi trips down to South Beach. It was a great location, wonderful staff, they were ready and eager to assist with any and everything the guests needed. I would definitely recommended the Eden Roc to others and we plan on visiting Miami again and we'll be staying at the Eden Roc!!

Nightlife tip: Short drive from hotel

If you are looking for something that is close to other things, like a Walgreens, it is within walking distance, but not a short walk. When we wanted to leave the resort we did have to take a taxi, that was the only downfall to the resort.

Great view and service!

The Eden Roc was fabulous! We had a balcony oceanview room that was beautiful. The room was equipped with everthing you could need. It is in a great location where you can hop in a cab, take the bus or rent a car downstairs in the hotel.

A zen experience but money hungry staff

The decor was really modern, the room was very nice and the bathroom has been decorated in a chic spa style, very appealing. The pools close at dusk but there is a hot tub. Outside cabana is nice. The bellboys and concierge are sort of snobbish and expect to be paid, just not decent about the whole thing.

The best place to stay!!!!!!

Very good Place to stay! Price has value to what we've got! Big room, bathroom is huge, good service and hospitality. I had a check in time at 4, but get to hotel at 1 they still checked me inn without any extra charge! And by the way the were no any extras when i checked out! Room is very clean - had a room service every day i stayed. Central air, so we didn't have any noise! The hotel itself is quite and relaxing - never heard neighbors. Stuff were nice and helpful in choosing places to go to! It is little bit away from Ocean Dr and Lincoln Ave, but it's only 12$ cab to get there.

Great hotel! Great beach area!

Great beach area. Not too crowded. The tradeoff is that it is not super close to South Beach, where all the night life is located (bars and restaurants). But if what you're looking for is good (and quiet) beach time, it's a great choice.

Beautiful Hotel not very Accomodating

I have been to this hotel for the last 3 Mothers Day and I'm glad to say the construction noise is finally gone, although they don't try to be very helpful or accomodating. We did not get the room we had booked because they were full and they were not helpful in trying to get us what we had paid for. There is a coffee pot in the room but good luck getting coffee or milk. The house keeping is fair at best. The bell boys at the front desk were very accomodating and helpful.

Awesome, Excellent, Perfect

Honestly I was so worried about the room quality as I planned to stay at the same hotel for 3 nights with my girlfrield. Our 1st impression of the hotel was okay, not great, but our room was breathtaking. It was 95% close to the room description I saw when making reservation (600sq ft, balcony with ocean view, king size bed, etc). Value was excellent as I had 20% off for staying 3 nights. Location is Miami beach NOT South beach but it worked out fine as we rented a car. Beach was nice and quiet (South beach is too crowded). Staffs were great, very kind. Parking is $35 per day but you can do in & out (however my final bill included every in & out a day we made so I pointed out and they amended). Hotel pools were clean and jacuzzi was fun (esp. during night with nobody around). I gave 4 star for location because there aren't much around the hotel, like I said, it is not located at South beach. Haven't been to any of the restaurants except for the bar in the pool. Room service was enough for us. Bottom line, best price for an excellent room and service. I would definately stay here again. Thank you Eden Roc!
