Ft. Myers is home to so many attractions! Red Roof Ft. Myers is close to the historic winter residences of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, both among the nations top 10 historic homes. Relax at our white sand beaches nearby—Sanibel Island, Bonita Beach, Lovers Key, and the Barrier Islands. For fun for the whole family, go to the Imaginarium Science Museum, which features more than 60 interactive exhibits. To really relax, enjoy fishing, waterskiing, sightseeing and eco-tours along the banks of the beautiful Caloosahatchee River. Conveniently located off of Hwy 41, Red Roof Ft. Myers is close to over 10 nearby restaurants.

Rooms for $59

The electronic sign was offering rooms for $59 and I paid $69 . The desk manager was not a happy person. when I arrived and when I asked if I could extend my stay using a Florida coupon book, her response was , "We don't accept coupons." I had the coupon book on the desk and open to the Red Roof coupon for Fort Myers. The room needed updating and a lot of care and the pool too. But, it is located right on the river!

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

The Red Roof is right on the river and across the road is a seafood restaurant with a super view of the river and Fort Myers.

do not book this place

If you are a single guy I guess this place is OK. If you are traveling as a family, I would not recommend this place. The ceiling plaster was falling down and stained throughout. There are holes in the wall by the beds headboard. The sink was cracked, etc etc. Its up to you but I for one will not ever book here again.

Convenient location

This is an older Red Roof Inn and is in serious need of an upgrade, but for my purpose it was cheap and served me OK.
