Location great, condo was a dump
The reservation I received from [...] did not state that we had to go to Blowing in the wind Management company in order to check in. We arrived at 2:30 and didn't get into our room until almost 6:00pm. Even the phone number we had on the reservation sent us to the wrong place. We asked around to everyone we could find as to where we should check in and got sent all over Panama City Beach until we finally found someone who could tell us the right place to go. When we got there - the office was closed. thankfully they had an after hours number on the door. We checked into the room which smelled like smoke. Then within an hour I had 8 roaches under glasses. Thankfully the afterhours number worked and we insisted on switching rooms. They were able to find us another condo. Our entire friday was ruined and we should have just gone to work that day instead of taking off. I was VERY unhappy! The only reason we stayed was because everything was sold out due to the IRONMAN. The location was great but the condo was a dump.

Beware of hidden costs
A friend and I booked a room here under the (usually correct) assumption that the listed Orbitz price would be what we would pay, minus any deposits. Upon check-in (which was another nightmare altogether), I was informed that I would pay an extra $72 worth of vaguely-worded, extraneous fees and have to choose between a $300 refundable deposit or a $45 nonrefundable. Don't expect to find a manned front office at the condo past 5pm or any kind of notice directing you to the separate welcome center in the next property over. The only reason I discovered this was due to persistence in grilling the security guard. I truly felt that the management set up the guest for failure with regards to the whole experience. The price for booking was effectively doubled for my stay. I will never stay here again.

Stay somewhere else
The air conditioning vent had mold and mildew all around it..the appliances were old and outdated..the stove had rust on it. There was also a maintanence storage room inside with old mops and junk in it. the pictures hanging in the room were crooked and I couldn't believe that they actually provided a VCR..who watches those anymore! The blinds around the door were broken and could not be shut...and the sliding door would not open

Not So Great
when we first got there things were fine. the location was great and check in was fairly easy; we even checked in a bit early. when we got to the room we had to get maintnance to open the door because it was jammed shut. you would have to pull the door towards you and then push once you had the key in. the room was not as big as we thought it would be. we ended up having to move the bed in order to set up the sofa bed. the pool looked nice but there was no jacuzzi. we had to call the check in place twice to get new towels because they didn't come the first time we called. also there was not a front desk so we had to call the check in place which was next door. there was a sheet with numbers listed in our room just in case we needed anything but the numbers were always busy. to sum it up the only thing we enjoyed about our stay was the proximity to all the nightlife and entertainment. we will not be staying there again.

Dirty Hotel Room
At 5:30pm we discovered that ALL our pillows were sour. They stunk so bad. I took the pillow cases off and there were sweat rings and drool spots all over them. I immediatly called the front desk and had to leave a message. We called over and over until 11:30pm. I even called the emergency number and got no response. Also when we checked in they said they were out of parking passes. After a night of my husband sleeping without a pillow and myself having to wrap beach towels around the pillows we came out to our truck with a warning that it would be towed if we did not remove our truck. By the way, our children had to sleep with the decorative pillows. There were bottle lids, a plastic bag and rocks all over the concrete. I can honestly say this was the worst place I've ever stayed. The water heater wasn't big enough for a family to all have warm showers. The management co. is terrible. They never responded to our calls. During check out my husband tried to talk to them about this. To his face they did not even respond. No apology just a deaf ear.

PERFECT STAY
WE ARRIVED AT THE CONDO AT 12:00 AND OUR CHECK IN WAS NOT UNTIL 4:00 BUT I WENT TO SEE IF THE ROOM WAS READY OR IF WE WOULD HAVE TO WAIT. THE ROOM WAS READY AND WE GOT TO CHECK IN EARLY. THEY WERE VERY NICE AND HELPFUL TO US AT THE FRONT DESK. THE ROOM WAS VERY NICE AND EVERYTHING WAS IN ORDER. WE WERE RIGHT OUTSIDE OF THE POOL WHICH IS RIGHT WHERE WE WANTED TO BE. IT WAS A CLOSE TO A PUTT PUTT GOLF COURSE AND HUMAN MAZE THAT MY DAUGHTER AND HER FRIEND WENT TO AND HAD THE TIME OF THEIR LIFE. IT WAS A GREAT SHORT WEEKEND BUT VERY RELAXING. WE PLAN TO GO BACK THE END OF MAY OR THE FIRST OF JUNE FOR A LONG WEEKEND.

Best deal for the money
The hotel itself was less than glamorous. Upon checking out we found a number of items that were damaged and we had ever touched any of it. The hotel has not charged us with any of these damages but I would suggest anyone who does decide to stay at this property to inspect everything upon check-in. The security was tight but they were very helpful and friendly through out our stay. The hotel was not crowded which made for a nice relaxing visit as well. Overall the place was worth the little bit of money we had to shell out and I would definitely stay there again. You won't find a better hotel for the money.

Short walk from hotel
The two biggest clubs on the beach are literally right next door, Club La Vela and Spinnakers. Hammerhead Fred's is a little farther but easily accessible by foot. The food in the area is pretty scarce but there is a great little pizza place in front of the property called Joey's On The Beach.
