Beachcomber Resort and Villas

The hotel is located on the strip of hotels at Pompano Beach, which is around 25 minutes drive from Fort Lauderdale airport. It has a very convenient location if you just want to relax on the beach. It is not as crowded as Miami Beach, which is great even if you go around Memorial Day weekend. The check-in and check-out process were smooth and our guest service are very friendly and informative. Our room is pretty nice and clean with a balcony with ocean view. The only concern is the AC was pretty noisy and need an upgrade. It has a decent size of swimming pool that close to the beach. In overall, it is a good place to stay and will come back again if we go to Pompano Beach.

I recently stayed at this particular hidden treasure for four nights and five days. Upon arriving, the hotel was quaint and small-but with such a vivacious atmosphere and immediate intimate beach setting, you start to feel at home quickly. The hotel staff were always so friendly and willing to help. The guys downstairs at the bar make weak drinks, but their conversation and funny demeanor have you enjoying yourself nonetheless. The beach is well groomed, a must for any beach vacation and cabanas, lounges, and umbrellas are available for a small rental fee-which wasn't too bad. Though we never used either of the pools, there are TWO! The rooms that are ocean view really do have an ocean view as well. Now, *sigh* for the ONLY complaint I have about this hotel-the food. My guest and I dined at the hotel's restaurant only twice-both on the first day. We shared breakfast while waiting for a room and later had dinner delivered from room service. For breakfast, we had the salmon benedict and some sort of country meal. For dinner, we had a chicken sandwich as well as a hamburger. Firstly, the teas we ordered tasted like coke syrup mix, and we instantly had them returned. The food wasn't that great either going down. Additionally, my guest and I were both immediately nauseated for much of the night and all manners of tums, antacids, and water could not remedy the situation. All in all, I would stay here again. I just would recommend eating elsewhere :)

The staff is friendly and the location and pool and beach were great the rooms are OK overall we had a good experience and would come back for the price

What you would expect from a hotel on the beach unfortunately it rained extremely hard all night so unable to fully experience the hotel facilities.

The staff was warm and friendly, when we checked in they said the resort had filled up and upgraded for free to 2 bedroom , 2 bath Villa. It felt just like a mini condo with a kitchenette.It was quiete, and comfy.Would definetly cone back again and recommend to friends and family .

The place is ON the beach. I was only there for a few days and I felt like buddies with all of the staff before I left! Amazing view from my room, food and drinks brought to you on beach or at pool side. Pompano had bars and hang outs but was still calm, and comfortable. It's not a wild busy party area. The price wasn't much more than the ***** 8 motel, so it was a no-brainer. HIGHLY recommend. (4/5 points for room comfort only because the sound proofing could be a little better) Great little Tiki bar BTW. Best drink was called a "HOLLI" make sure and ask Steve the bartender for a few of those. I WILL RETURN!!!!! <3

First time staying there and it was very nice, only problem would be room was small and had an odor, otherwise, food was excellent!

Our flight landed early in the day, but the hotel was not able to check us in early. When we finally got our room it was literally the worst room in the hotel. On the ground floor, in front of the elevator, vending/ice machines and entrance to the pool area. This room should not be used as a guest room it was that loud and terrible. We asked to move rooms and they could not accommodate us. After complaining again the next day they finally found a room for us on a higher floor. New room was much better, but still isn't as nice as the pictures online. Grounds of the hotel were great, right on the beach, beach side dining was amazing, tiki bar was great. No fitness center on site, no hot tub, older crowd

I think this hotel had a great location if you ask me if I was happy to pick this one not really again only good thing was I had a great view and relaxing balcony was facing to the ocean. Specially at evening time hotel was kind a dead not much going on they had this small bar where you can fit only few people not much room in there.I was happy with my server he was doing great job I don't remember his name tho.... Regarding my room i had cockroach in there and my bed had stains I mean the room was looking kind a clean but maybe they need to pay more attention on it.....I didn't complain I'm not that kind a type but I guess having a good view and spending most of my time outside didn't bother me so much I guess:)))) I think i would pay little less or more next time stay some where different.This hotel was little boring by the way they don't even have nice welcoming drive way to unload your car its so tight people cant drive by ......

Rooms clean, great spot on beach. Staff was friendly. Food a litte pricey however good. Bar staff friendly, spent a lot with no buybacks. Charge for all amenties, cushions, umbrellas on beach, charge for shuttle bus to airport was high. For rates that i paid should have included more amenties. Seemed to ticky tac you on extras. Besides that, it was nice stay.
