3 Day Walk For The Cure
We joined our daughter and granddaughter as they crossed the finish line and then attended the closing for the Susan Komen 3 Day Tampa Walk. The location of the hotel was right across the street --- we could not have asked for any better than that. Although the facility is undergoing construction upgrades, the ownership/staff provided excellent safety and movement direction guidelines that assured the guests were as comfortable as possible in a remodeling atmosphere. Our only displeasure was the $12.00 parking fee. Thanks Orbitz --- looking forqward to dealing with you again in the future.

Short walk from hotel
The neighborhood contains a large assortment of shops, eating facilities and even a museum. All are located within walking distance and offer great views of the bay, marina and park located directly across the street. It is an enjoyable experience.

artsy day trip
hotel conveniently located on St. Petrsburg's waterfront; friendly and very helpful staff; valet parking available with in and out privilege; spacious, clean room, but beds (2 queen-size)too soft for comfort. Overall, a four star experience

Wonderful time was had!
Was greeted by very friendly hotel staff and enjoyed a wonderful location to park our car for two nights and walk to the museums, have lunch and dinner without getting in the car! Always heard about St. Pete so from Naples (where I live) we headed up to enjoy the sights as well as sit by the pool in the hot afternoon! We rented free movies to watch ( was with my college age daughter on her spring break)in the evening that were provided from the hotel. We were there for St Patrick's Day which was fun to have a delicious rueben and pint at Delaney's. Met another mother/daughter couple doing the same as us in the same hotel! Great experience-- great location for the price. Better then average Hampton!!

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
There wasn't much shopping in the St Pete downtown area but did stumble into a great comfort shoe shop called Shooz. The two gals who worked there were so helpful and fun! My daughter who is a shoe snob as well as me got some cute, comfortable shoes on this trip!

St. Pete Hotel with Good Location
I visit St. Pete frequently to assist and elderly parent. I normally don't stay at this hotel and although the prices were not the best the location is perfect. So I thought I would give it a try to see if I might stay there in the future. The staff did their job fine, but were not friendly or pleasant. I felt like I was a customer of fast service restaurant. Mediocre at best. Great location and the pool area was very nice and secluded.

Don't stay here!
The front desk clerk was hard to understand--mostly b/c of the tongue stud she tried to talk through. The walls in the hotel are paper-thin--honestly, we could hear every word the people in the next room said to each other, and the conversation the cleaning ladies had very early in the morning. Very nice location and very pretty hotel, but nothing else distinguishes it--for the good, anyway.

Hampton Inn in Downtown St. Pete
Enjoyed the stay there. Staff were very friendly and help full. Was surprised to find a $12.00 per night parking fee for hotel guests. I do not remember reading that in any infomation about the hotel.

Took on a Rays baseball game. Love the shuttle service to the stadium. Our hotel room had a great view of the Pier. We are coming back next month for another baseball game and visit downtown

Good Location for walking around St. Pete
The Hampton Inn and Suites was a clean, comfortable hotel in a great area of Downtown St. Pete. The staff was very pleasant. I liked that you could walk to almost anywhere in Downtown from this location. Although the Hotel is just across the street from Tampa Bay, I felt that the room was over priced for what we received. Other than that, it was a great location and a clean, and newer hotel. I'd stay again.
