Quiet Tampa Bay resort
The Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort is located directly on Beautiful Tampa Bay on one side and the interstate on the other. The beach area is very small and there is nothing directly around the resort for fun or shopping unless you prefer to drive. The room was not very clean and the shower left alot to be desired for water pressure.

the good and bad
the hotel was nice the people working at the outside bar was great knew the best place to eat seafood for the price .. the beach area was very bad could not swim do to the seaweed was very bad ..my husband and son could fish they enjoyed that the pool was nice room were clean

not what I expected
The pool was the only good thing about this hotel. The room was nothing special. It needed to be updated. Old tv ! The beach smelled disgusting and there was seaweed and garbage. It was a small area and if there was a rake around I would have raked it myself. I would never stay there again.

Uncomfortable rooms.
every morning at 7am, 3 laundry carts were pulled from the room next door and they sat there most of the day. these were very noisy and my room was situated right at thier point of operations for the house keeping crew.bathrooms were small and cramped. Beds were uncomfortable. Basic hotel room, not recommended for more than 1 night at most. Holiday Inn kids eat free is not entirely true. Kids eat only at restaurants that have a childrens menu, which in itself was severly limited.Only 1 restaurant had this menu and it was closed for lunch, so if you want to feed your children lunch, this is not the place to go.

Good Deal
I joined my wife as she attended a seminar at St. Pete Univ. for her work. We stayed 2 extra days to enjoy the hotel and the beaches. Restaurants in the area were top notch and the people were friendly. I would stay at Sunspree again in the future. The hotel was a great deal for the price.

Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort
Quiet resort. Ice machine didn't work. was not repaired prior to leaving. Nearest ice machine was across the resort. Difficult to get many suitcases to second floor without elevator.

I have stayed in better hotels, spend the extra 40 a night and stay at one of the resorts on the Gulf.

OK but
The hotel was right off the interstate exit so it was conveinient and easy to locate. Plenty of dining and shopping close-by. Close to beaches. Overall the facility was of average cleanliness and upkeep. Had repeated trouble with the toilet.

Great staff, rooms need some work.
I was here to visit family and run a 1/2 marathon. Hotel desk staff were extremely helpful and professional! Room: Toilet wasn't working all the time and there was a mildewy smell near one bed. But the room was very clean and neat. Location was right off the highway, so that was convenient. I saw the restaurant, it looked nice but I didn't need to use it. Only reason room isn't a 5 is because of the smell in one corner of mildew-but it wasn't throughout the room.
