Great location for the price
We came down for a 4 day extended weekend. The ocean front location made up for the negatives of the resort. Great amenities including a very nice workout facility, plenty of cabanas, chairs, pools to pick from, on site activities, and a small spa. The central location of St Pete Beach is great as well with plenty of nearby towns and cities to visit including Ft. DeSoto Park which has another amazing beach! The negatives were that our room seemed a bit outdated. The bathroom was not the cleanest and needed a grout/tile re-do. Bath/shower area was very small. We had a gulf-view parlor room which was great with full view of the ocean and pool area. However, king bed was not an option for this type of room. The A/C was very noisy and kept us up each night. We received a courtesy credit which made up for the noise...I guess. Front desk staff was very nice and very friendly. Staff everywhere seemed very nice...no complaints there. The food and drinks were overpriced. Water bottles at the pool were very expensive. I would highly recommend driving down to the nearby Publix or Walmart to stock up on pop, water bottles and snacks. There are plenty of restaurants to pick from and you may find a better deal somewhere else if you have the time. All in all...great experience and would like to come back again some day.

For a great deal try Foxy's Cafe in Treasure Island. It's a very small sports bar/family restaurant with good food and great prices that can't be beat. If you want to splurge on a romantic meal I would suggest Salt Rock Grill...it's amazing!

Wonderful
After checking in I was told the hotel and entire area had a water main break and I could not use the tap water. The hotel supplied bottled water. It was a little awkward, but it worked. The Christmas buffet was fantastic. Service was excellent. Hotel staff very courteous and helpful.

Good service, food. beach for corporate
Everyone was cooperative. Staff went out of their way to help. Had some bad weather and they responded with enthusiasm. Bed a little hard but linens clean and bathroom had plenty of towels. Even in cool weather pool was warm and swimable. A good experience overall.

Overall a nice stay
A nice place, in a nice location. Good for meetings and vacation. Only downers are the limited restaurant choices within walking distance and the $25 per day "resort fee" is a bit excessive. I got upgraded to a 2BR suite (2 queens in each), which was nice, but I reserved a king bed for a reason. All-in-all, about 3.5 stars.

The little Cuban place a short distance north and across the street (I can't remember the name) is pretty good (I only ate there twice this time around).

a great family vacation
The hotel has thought of everything when it comes to entertaining kids and their parents. There were lots of choices like the beach, pool, games, movies, waterslides, trampolines, hula hoop contests, parasailing & dolphin watching trips. Lots of choices for eating and drinking as well. My only complaint was at times there weren't any seats available at the main pool. This was due mostly to people hoarding the chairs. The chairs were empty but there were towels or something left on them to "save" the seat. That is more of a guest issue than the hotel. All of the hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. Although there were lots of free activities there was plenty of extras that we paid for as well. By the end of the week I was pretty worried about how much we had spent and it was quite a bit. So, make sure and budget extra $$ for all the cocktails, snow cones and excusions you and your family will want to partake in.
