Fun Vacation
overall great, i am only going to write about what i thought was deceptive/bad but keep in mind even with these things i would go back. 1. You are charged a 25.00 resort fee and didnt include 5 dollars/night for a crib or a ride on the giant slide, 2. if you have loud neighbors walls/ceilings arent very insulating, 3. queen beds seemed small, 4. "tennis court view" really means view of the roof and vents ugly, 5. mini golf=very mini its not a real mini golf corse just bumpers

Good vacation hotel - not business
Nice hotel for vacation with family. Rooms had refrig & microwave and plates/glasses. Bad for business travellers as there was no way to order breakfast the night before, just after 11pm. Tried to order at 6 in the morning but was told it would be at least a half hour or more. Since I had a super shuttle picking me up at 7, it was playing it too close...(it came at 6:45 by the way.) No breakfast for me. Nice hotel otherwise. They are renovating many rooms. One of the nicer hotels for certain in the St. Pete Beach area. Great place for families. Located right on one of the prettiest white beaches ever. The hotel is just not prepared for the business traveller.

Go to the Don Cesar Hotel dining room for dinner - super great food, a little pricey, about 1/2 hour walk down the beach [shorter if you use the sidewalk].

Great staff but paper thin walls
This hotel has the best guest friendly workers, all workers were friendly and helpfull with a smile. The rooms could be cleaned better, the tub/shower handle can't be turned on without brute strength(my wife couldn't pull it out on her own). We had a room on the parking lot side, the walls are paper thin and if anything is happening in the pavilion you will hear it. Location is great, resort fee of $25.00 is a big negative and I will look for another hotel without such a charge.

Compass Grill worst prime rib ever don't believe the ad with a picture of baked potato and prime rib for $9.99, it comes with mashed potato no bread no salad and it is no good. The best steak is at Max & Sams Chop House, a little drive but worth it.

Great Place!!!
Our room was very clean!! Everyday cleaned well!! The service and the staff were always professional!!!! Only two things that we had a problems with, the shower when put on warm or hot would make this TERRIBLE noise like it was going to blow up and the elevators kept getting stuck... But,the staff responds very fast!! It was very pleasant!!EVERYTHING is in walking distance!! We would greatly recommend it!! So much space!! The beach is beautiful!!

Great Casual Vacation
Overall this hotel was great. We booked it about a week in advance and I could not have asked for a better spring break with my roommates. It was quiet, and the location was amazing. We were able to walk right out to the beach and relaxed for hours on the cabanas. The beach was gorgeous, but it was a little disappointing having to look at ugly jet skis and parasailing advertisements on the shore. Many delicious restaurants were in walking distance, and were reasonably priced. There is also a bus that can take you to Clearwater for a cheap roundtrip price. The hotel is also very family-friendly. I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone.

Pleasantly surprised
Tradewinds Island Grand Resort is a very decent place to bring the family. It is not fancy - the rooms are very generic and have seen a lot of use - but the beach is great, the pools are fun for the kids, and there are lots of activities. I was very impressed by the service. Every service person that I encountered in the resort was friendly, helpful and respectful. I would give 6 stars for service if I could. I only paid about $100 per night, which I though was a great value for mid-March. The resort is crowded with lots of families and kids, so don't go there if you are looking for a quiet couples vacation. They do charge an additional $25 per day resort fee, but this covers quite a few extras including cabana chairs on the beach, paddle boats, exercise classes, etc.
