Outrigger Reef on the Beach

My experience at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach was fantastic. I was traveling with 2 ederly people (86 & 92) and the staff was very, very helpful in making sure we had rooms near the elevator. Everywhere I went the staff addressed me by name, they had top notch service! The rooms were beautiful, the restuarants delicious, the shops were awesome and overall it was the besty hotel I've ever stayed at. It was in a perfect location near the shopping area, the beach was lovely, and I just cannot explain how great our stay was. The lotion they give you in the room is wonderful, I asked for some extra to take home and they gave me 5 with no charge![...]Outrigger Reef was expensive, but totally worth it. It is the only place I'll stay in Waikiki from now on. My only complaint was it was a little noisy until about 9pm, they have live music every night near the pool. Since I was traveling with elderly people who like to go to bed early, this was a little bit of a problem.

This is my second time attending a yearly conference in Waikiki. I decided to stay at the Outrigger Reef instead of the conference hotel because I was impressed with its amenities, location, and presentation. After arriving at the Outrigger Reef I could not have been more satisfied with my choice. Everyone at the Outrigger Reef from the bellhops to the check in people were courteous and always willing to ensure that we had everything we needed. The room was clean and the maid service did a wonderful job throughout our stay. They were really nice as well. I enjoyed talking to them. The same goes for the guys at the valet parking desk. I would also be remiss if I did not compliment the Outrigger Reef on the quality and professionalism of their check in staff. They were not only gracious but intelligent and well spoken. I got the sense they truly cared about ensuring that we got the most out of our Hawaii experience. I travel quite a bit and this hotel is my personal favorite for its combination of location, price, staff, and amenities. If you travel to Waikiki and do not give this hotel a chance you are missing a true treat.

The hotel was awesome!!! Would stay there everytime. Friendly staff, great location, wonderful food. Just can't say enough.

Splendid

Great place right on the beach with beach front restaurant/bar. Our room was very clean and up to date. It was on the tenth floor and had two balconies, one facing the beach/park next door and the other the street. As a result of the location to the street there was a lot of noise with the balconey doors open but not much that can be done about that if you want to be on Waikiki beach! We just shut the doors for sleeping.

Beautiful hotel right on the beach...what's not to like? Want to go back.

This was our first time traveling and Outrigger Reef was the perfect place to fulfill all of our dreams of what a hotel could be. We received a complimentary breakfast that was well worth it. We were able to choose from 3 different hotel restaurants- one which offered a daly buffet. The pool and its staff as well as the hotel staff was great. The hotel was in a perfect location- right on the beach and near many restaurants. Yet, within the hotel it was very peaceful where relaxation seemed to be the key objective. One thing that was lacking, however, was a microwave accessible to the guests. One would think that it would be present if a refrigerator is an amenity in many rooms.

Very nice beachfront location. Valet parking is $25/day extra. There is no self parking available. Valet staff is quick, friendly and very helpful though. Even lower prices rooms (City View) are excellent with a view of the pool area. Large pool with lots of lounges in both sun and shade. Staff friendly. Even elevators clean. Good rate considering other beachfront hotel's rates. Reserved again in 3 months.

We stayed for 7 days during our honeymoon. The hotel was close to everything we wanted it to be close to, it was on the beach on one side and close to the main street and shops in Honolulu (Kalakaua Ave. and other streets) on the other. We were very satisfied with the hotel service and restaurants, Also the coffee shop located at the entrance to the hotel, a nice place for a morning coffee. The food at the hotel restaurants is excellent and plenty. Walking at anytime on Kalakaua avenue was exciting and special with all the shops and the special places to visit like the Army museum, the zoo, and the aquarium. So many things to see and admire. Very beautiful.
