Wonderful location and generous staff!
Having never been to Chicago, I was a bit nervous about the hotel my wife and our friends would end up at. I did all the online research I could and then settled on the Central Loop Hotel. We wanted something centrally-located, but we didn't want something like the Marriott in Times Square. We got so lucky! The Central Loop is not only centrally-located (walking distance to all trains, the park, and the Museum campus), but it was clean and spacious and the staff was helpful and generous, and since the streets are never packed it never felt like Times Square. The hotel held our bags prior to check-in so that we wouldn't waste half a day dragging them around, and they held our bags after check-out, so we wouldn't have to head straight to the airport. All that with no extra fees. Those two gestures help make our trip what it was. I'd definitely stay there again when I visit Chicago.

a Chicago gem
Room might be small to some, but great value for the money for a hotel inside the Loop. Very quiet, fast wireless signal, and coffee maker in the room are a big plus.

Ok Hotel
The hotel was ok. We had a good time but was really disappointed with no pool. However, it was very centralized location and close to everything. The hotel was average. I believe that the check in time should be earlier.

Nice experience
My girlfriend and I visited Chicago for 3 days and stayed at the Central Loop hotel. It was a very enjoyable experience. The hotel had everything we could ask for and was very reasonable priced. The location was perfect, right in the middle of downtown Chicago, and within walking distance to countless attractions.

Short walk from hotel
America's Dog on Adams Street heading towards Michigan Ave. They have different styles of hot dogs from around the country, and they were all a hit. A nice cheap lunch option while on the move.
