Great location - close to Soldier Field
The staff at the Hilton were great! Concierge service were very helpful. Our first time visiting Chicago, they sent us to all the right places! One issue which we did not make a "stink" about was the funky B.O. type smell in our hotel room. The room itself was immaculately clean but it had a strong distinct smell of body odor that was overwhelming. Had to spray our cologne to mask it. Comfy bed; nice amenities.

Comfort made easy.
We had a great weekend. The Hilton helped make it great. Easy check-in, nice room, comfortable bed, good access to the things we wanted to do. The concierges were fantastic. All recommendations for dining were excellent, and they were most helpfull at telling us how to get around.

so so...
the hotel is nice but the room at check in was 79 degrees and took till the following morning to finally get down to 70... You could also hear people as if they were in the room with you outside the door.. so after a good night on the town it stunk being woke up at 8am... but otherwise we liked the location.. like I said so so...

Short walk from hotel
Many wonderful places to eat just a block or 2 in any direction or a short ($5) cab ride up Michigan Ave if you don't feel like walking after you've done a marathon around the city all day.

Beautiful, luxurious and comfortable
From the check in to check out - it was perfect. The only detraction was that the breakfast was expensive - but that's downtown Chicago. The rooms can be difficult to find. However, nothing should stop anyone from staying here.

Great Value
Easy navigation with the tourist bus stop right outside the hotel. This made transportation much cheaper than paying for taxis. Beautiful view of Buckingham Fountain from our room.

Inconvenient
It seems to be in the heart of the city, but is actually quite difficult to get to where it is set. Not easy walking or cab. They also nickel and dime you - charge for using the mini-bar (must tell by weight or something) or $20 a day if you want an in-room fridge. The place is huge though so we got a really good deal. Bottom line there are better, more convenient hotels in the city for comparable prices.
