Perfect location at the top of the Magnificent mile
As locations go, this Wacker Drive hotel couldn't do better, occupying prime riverfront space in the historical Mather Tower off the Magnificent Mile. The landmark River Hotel has kept up with the times, especially when it comes to environmental impact. Its LEED-registered building and Green Power Partner utilizes low-flow showerheads and participates in recycling programs. For what it may lack in luxury and size, the hotel scores on points like casual ambiance, simplicity and value.

River Hotel (75 E Wacker)
When planning our trip to Navy Peir, we were looking for a hotel that would be within walking distance. The River Hotel provided a convient location and wonderful view of the city and river. Staff was very accomodating and pleasant. No comments on the ammenities as we did not have time to use any other than the resturant - reasonablly priced and good food.

Perfect location, newly renovated rooms
We visited Chicago over the weekend. The location of the hotel was excellent. The place is safe and lively 24 hours. Still, did not feel any problem with noise. The room we stayed in was newly renovated and was one of the best rooms that I have seen. There were lots of international tourists at the time of our stay which gives the place an international feeling. I would recommend the place for couples and families with children. The only unpleasant thing about the hotel was the staff, which didn't seem to fit the hotel at all.

Short walk from hotel
There is a nearby metro station at Lake and Clark. The subway system of Chicago was fast and safe. You should utilize as much as possible especially if you visit during the hot season.

" Good price for the location"
Upon arriving the staff was very nice. But that changed once I inform the front desk staff that I got the wrong room they were very rude and didn't not seem helpful until I showed them my confirmation from [...]. They changed the room but were but nice about it. Other then that the room I reserve was nice clean and big. I had a very nice view. Everything was walking distance which was a plus.

Excellent service/staff, location. Small but very comfortable room with great view. We stay at many hotels in different cities and countries and would recommend to friends (and return ourselves). Very good little bakery right next door that opens at 6:30 AM

Very Nice Hotel Downtown
We stayed at this hotel for 1 night, walked up the street for dinner and around downtown the rest of the night. In the morning we stopped at the Corner Street Bakery Cafe right next door before heading home. The most convenient parking is a small lot right next to the hotel, but $28 for one night!
