The Whitehall Hotel

This is a nice place with a classy feel and my room was nice and big with a great decor. When this is said, I would say a lot of details and small things are lacking to give a truly good experience. Number one there is no coffee machine in the room, some don't care but I personally love to have a cup before I go out and face the world. Amenities in bathroom did not get filled up daily. You have to pay extra for internet which I think is ridiculous in 1213. That's like asking "Ohh you want electric light in your room? Well you have to pay extra for that...." You just feel nickeled and dimed. I have stayed at Hotel Lincoln at same price and had a better stay there.

The location is very central and walking distance to many Chicago attractions and train access. Great value for the money. Very clean, spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Probably my only complaint was that an elevator was down, so it took quite a while to get up or down. The staff was very friendly and helpful from the door men to the front desk clerks to the concierge. I would definitely stay again at this hotel.

Our room was small and a bit musty and our bath even smaller - very difficult for two women. No space on vanity for toiletries, safe did not work, TV was an antique with very few stations, and only one outlet. Location was great and the price a good value, but, would not return here.

Poor lightnening in rooms. Front desk staff could not find my reservation even though I had a hotel reservation number and asked me to call this website. It happened to another guest while I was there.

The Whitehall is in a great location on the Magnificent Mile. It's just across the street from the Hancock building and in a fairly prime location for lots of downtown touristy activities. However, amenities are definitely lacking. Internet is $10/day for guests in the room or business center and our TV (and reception) was from 1985. Good, given the price.

From the moment I entered the hotel up until I checked out I was impressed with The Whitehall Hotel. The staff was very accommodating and went out there way to for assist my needs. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The location was perfect and was able to walk to just about anywhere you may want to go. Without a doubt I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again anytime.

The lobby is very small but everyone was more than friendly and helpful. The location was fabulous. Our room was somewhat small, but adequate. We would stay there again.

I only spent 84 a night. I was unfamiliar with your establishment. I drank a few cups of coffee in the mornings. I liked the margarita pizza. I received a USA Today paper the first morning and then nothing. I could never get one downstairs either. But ...Hey. Everyone was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

One block off Michigan Ave. is a very convenient location. I used the Italian restaurant for an excellent breakfast. Very nice!
