Comfort Inn Quincy

This hotel was a strange mixed experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. The lobby, hallways, and other public areas of the hotel smelled like stale cigarettes and dirt, and just seemed a little gross. I would probably be willing to try a Comfort Inn again on another trip, but next time I'm in Quincy, I'll probably try somewhere else.

Hotel is older and little pricey for the ammenities, but the bed and pillows are as good as any place I have stayed.

Even as early as checking in, the receptionist was very pushy and wanted me to sign and initial their paperwork immediatly (without allowing time to review what I was signing). At check in, I was not made aware of the pool being closed for repairs, although I was made aware of a small sign on the corner of the counter that was in small black and white print the next morning at check out. The hotel sits very close to Broadway (the main road in Quincy) and their seemed to be no/minimal sound proofing in the walls. We could hear every car going by on the road and anybody talking or moving throughout the hotel. The next morning at check out, I notified the receptionist on duty that when I booked the room online, I was not notified of the pool being closed for repairs. His reaction to this was "You did not see this." pointing to the small typed document on the opposide edge of the counter from where you check in. I advised him that I did not see it and the lady that checked me in was very pushy and actually pointed again on the check in paper where to sign, as i was reading it. I asked if there was anything they could do (discount) reguarding it not being listed online (on [...] and their website). He stated that he could do nothing and that I would need to contact [...]. I just felt that his attitude was inapproriate since he is in the customer service business.
