Courtyard by Marriott Boston-South Boston

Friendly people, very accomodating, but, the bath tub had a spot that gives a very bad impresion. Location is good, not too far from airport, close to train station, but, in the middle of a warehouse area.

The hotel was a good hotel. Clean and well maintained and a very friendly staff. THe location was not ideal. It is a bit off the beaten path and not the most welcoming area. I would have preferred to be closer to the actual city. Also, the hotel room only had a mirror in the bathroom. It was difficult to get ready with only the one mirror and without proper lighting. Also, the breakfast was not something I wanted to pay for (it wasn't continental) However, there was a small shop like area that offered waters, sodas, candy, etc. THat was extremely nice.

A very good experience at the hotel. Nice palce with very good staff and always will to help you find places of interest.

I found their desk attendant at about 3:30 AM on 11-21-2010 EXTREMELY rude. He treated me like he was doing me a great favor by allowing me to even stand on their property. I was not a guest to him - only a botheration who even dares to bring up a problem !A. Rakshit: anjrakshit[@]

I had a five night stay at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Dorchester, MA. The location is slightly tricky to reach, so I think some guiding signs could be used in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, from Allstate Rd. But it's located close to a shopping center which can come in handy. I had a chance to use the exercise room, which has the essentials for a good work-out. I ordered once from the restaurant that serves the hotel and was very pleased with the goat cheese pizza. The room is very nice, it only felt weird not having the TV facing the bed but along the side wall to the right. The housekeeping staff did a nice job each time. I think they do several passes so they will get your room if you change your mind about wanting housekeeping or not. I scheduled the shuttle service to the airport for $5 which I thought was fair, and with that comes a free wake-up call as well. A good experience overall.

I was only in town for one night and needed a place to get some work done in preparation for the next day and get a good night's sleep. The room was fine, nothing exceptional in a good or bad way. The bed was comfortable and the space was fairly clean (minus the desk chair...I don't want to know who was on there before me and what they did). The hotel's not in a great neighborhood. Target, Applebee's, Olive Garden, Panera, etc. are within walking distance, but I wouldn't walk alone after dark. Two things do stand out to me. First, I could hear everything that happened outside my door. As I tried to fall asleep I noticed a lot of movement and conversations in the hallway. Second, I tried to use the hotel's remote printing system and after following the in-room instructions and going to the lobby to retrieve my print job unsuccessfully, I was told it regularly doesn't work. If they have problems that often they should fix the system or replace it and the in-room instructions for how to print.

The experience was pleasant. Was happy with breakfast hours. Service was great. Very pleased to find out the front desk would call a taxi when needed and held our bags after check out to do more site seeing. It was a good relaxing private environment for a couple getaway.

The hotel is new and nice. The room is spacy and efficiently organized. The staff is freindly and helpful. The only problem is location; the nieghborhood is rather unpleasant and shabby, even though not far from downtown Boston and less than 10 min walk from subway. Overall, it is a good place for this price but may not be appealing to those looking for a good location with much attraction around.

I was waiting for the front desk agent to take care of the person in front of me. The agent was very friendly and called him by name. But when the gentleman asked him if he might have a spare cell phone charger, the agent reached under the desk & pulled out a ball about a foot across of cell phone chargers. Not funny. Now you know why they say nobody found it when you call & ask. That experience had me looking for other short-comings, which I unfortunately did manage to find. Just stuff you don't expect from a Marriott.

Perfect location to get in and out to and from Logan airport. Nice people, excelent service, shuttle to and from airport is very convenient and the drivers are the best. Breakfast area very good.
