Vistited Boston. Hotel has very good location to the places we went - Chinatown, South Station Bus TErminal, Quincy Market, etc. Everything in the hotel were good. Previous hotels that we've stayed were comparable to this hotel.

Good Value and Location
The location was great! Two blocks from the T (subway) Boston Commons and the start of the Freedom Trail. The front desk personnel and concierge was very helpful. The rooms were clean, and large enough to move around in.

Great location
The Hyatt Regency Boston is centrally located downtown. It is within walking distance of Boston Common, the historic North End, the harbor, great dining and shopping. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious. Hotel staff was very helpful and knowledgable. On the downside, hotel restaurant prices were exorbitant, the pool was in need of some repair, and once our linens were replaced but there was a stain of some sort on the top sheet. And apparently in an effort at conservation, linens and towels will only be replaced daily upon request. This is stated on a tiny white card placed in the bathroom which went unnocticed for a few days. The hotel layout is a bit confusing as well. You enter the hotel on ground level but must take a second set of elevators up to the lobby and front desk. No free WiFi either. A huge stain on the carpet as you exit the elevators was quite unsightly. We stayed six nights and had a great time. I would stay at a Hyatt again due to the great beds but I'm not sure I would stay at this particular one.

A little disappointed...
The rooms are relatively small compared to other hotels I've been to recently. The location is pretty convenient but the block or so around the entrance is littered with vacant buildings or buildings under construction. The thermostat perpetually said '68', no matter what buttons I hit, but the room never got cool. We called them about it and they said someone would be up in '15 minutes', we left after an hour of waiting... Another complaint is that there is that the way the rooms/hallways are set up and the lack of soundproof walls and doors makes it a noisy place. You constantly hear doors slamming shut. One night, the cleaning lady was doing her cleaning at 11pm so we got to hear about a dozen door slams in a 30 minute period. I asked her to keep the noise to a minimum and she stopped working after that. When we alerted the desk of this the next day, they said that was odd since their cleaning crew stops at 10pm.(?) Several things are wrong with this scenario... The restaurant on the main floor is nice, but pricey. My wife said the fitness area is very nice but I didn't get a chance to see for myself. Be prepared to pay $10 per day for wireless internet..

A hidden gem
The Hyatt Regency is conveniently located to a number of Boston landmarks and a short walk away from a couple T stops. The room was neat, clean, spacious and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful - particularly the door attendants who were quick to offer directions. We shared a two-bed room with three people and found the beds a bit on the small side in this type of room for two people, sharing. The only potential drawback is that this hotel is hidden away behind a main street and the main entrance lobby actually requires an elevator ride up to the third floor. Some may find this a potential security problem if coming home late at night.

Great
The room was small but very comfy. The A/C kept resetting to 68 degrees which is warm for me! The service was great and very professional. They came up and asked if our mini bar needed to be refreshed which was grade A. The biggest turn off was the 32 dollar parking fee which we had to pay for one night.

Great location and price
I was in Boston for their Gay Pride Celebration, the hotel was about 10 mins walking from the festival site. The hotel is very clean and is in a good position for going to the Commons, the T and the theatre district. The bed was luxurious and well appointed. The only downside was during the late afternoon/early evening some of the guest next door were a little loud because of very young children but it was quiet by late night.

friendly reception, quality room
The reception by [...], our French-speaking registration person, was warm, hospitable and informative. We chose a room on the top floor (22nd) which provided great views of the city and was more than adequate for our needs. We used the hotel as a base for walking to several different sections of the city and the location was ideal for this purpose.
