Omni Parker June 2011
The hotel is in a great location. The hotel is nicely updated but has kept a lot of the old charm without seeming run down or "old". The rooms are small but comfortable. The bed was fantastic. They only have a small number of king size rooms that sell out quickly I believe, but the queen was quite comfortable. My only complaint about the room is that we were on the second level on an end room (right above the alley). The noise in the room from the street was really loud. I bought some foam earplugs and did fine the rest of the trip. Our next trip I will request an upper level room specifically to try and avoid this. The hotel is known for it's Rolls and also for inventing the Boston Cream Pie. It was definitely yummy - we had a piece in the Bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, very nice hotel. Would stay here again but in an upper floor room. GREAT location - walking distance to north end, back bay, beacon hill, and the theater district.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
There are lots of great restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. If you are willing to walk a little further - great restaurants in Back Bay. I would definitely recommend you check with the ones where you would like to do dinner to see if they take reservations - and MAKE THEM. Trying to get in a restaurant on a weekend night is hard without reservations - probably at least 45-hour wait.

If you value excellence ...
From the moment we got there we were impressed. The front desk staff was courteous and helpful, and concierge was not to be outdone. They were patient, kind, and offered assistance with each request we made. As it was also our 27th anniversary, the hotel went out of their way to make certain everything was as I wanted it to be - from arranging flowers to be delivered to making certain that there was champagne and strawberries in the room. The rooms are wonderful, though I must say that the "traditional" room is a bit smaller than I would have liked - but the amenities were never-ending, which paled in comparison to the great staff.

Great location price service
Pulled up in our car that was valet parked for $42 for the entire day and overnight. This sounds expensive but nearby garages are $38. You might find a better rate in an outside garage on the weekend. We did a long walk to the flower show at the Boston Pier (approx 1.3 miles) . We later walked to Quincy market( approx. 1/2 mile) and had dinner.

First Boston vacation
We bought a city pass and went to the museums, aquarium, 2 Red Sox games, Bruins playoff game, Samuel Adams brewery, Harpoon brewery, JFK library, some of the Freedom trail, etc. Nothing was missing except the opportunity to stay longer and do even more! Great vacation!
