Pretty Ok Experience
The hotel common areas and my room were very clean. However, carpeting in my room and common areas was older and worn, and lacked that fresh look and feel. The building itself, though clean, appears to be older, with no upgraded investments to make the property more appealing and up-to-date. Enjoyed the free breakfast which included (powdered)scrambled eggs, waffles, hot oatmeal, tea and coffee, and cold cereals. There were no meats offered. No bacon, no ham, no meats at all. One bright spot was the hotel staff. Everyone was very nice and helpful. For what I paid per night, (though not a bad experience), I had expected a much nicer hotel experience. The nightly rate I paid was $144.00. Based on my overall experience at this hotel, I would say that $75.00 per night would have been more fitting. Also, the online brochures and photos of the hotel were deceiving. The photos were probably taken long ago, when the hotel was new or newly renovated. When I actually arrived, for my stay, I was disappointed. The hotel did not look nearly as nice as portrayed in pictures.

Cheap & Cheerful
Don't expect any five star amenities here, but for a comfortable and affordable hotel to use as a base in Boston, the Ramada is just fine. Rooms are spacious and equipped with all you need(iron, hairdryer,tv, coffee maker & wifi), breakfast is help-yourself and substantial and staff are always willing to help. The shuttle from the hotel to T station/airport is great - it only takes 15 minutes from JFK station to downtown Boston. The room was getting a little tatty as we went at the end of the season, but we had no complaints and enjoyed a fun week despite the hurricane!

Disgusting Conditions, Poor Service
I made a reservation at this hotel because it was convenient for a family event, and the hotel was rated 3 stars. That rating is not deserved. The hotel was shabby and the clientele left much to be desired. And, on top of it all, they charged a mandatory $4.95 "service fee" for parking, etc. which was not disclosed and which they would not waive. Our room smelled heavily of insecticide. There were suspicious men arguing about money in the hallway. Groups of people were partying in the parking lot late at night, and there was a used condom by our car the next morning. On the plus side, they have a decent breakfast and a business center with a public computer and internet available. But overall this place was gross and scary.

Best Value in Boston
Really enjoyed the conveniences provided by the Ramada Boston. Shuttle service from the airport was prompt, back and forth from the train station throughout the day was very efficient, and taking us to the pier where we began our cruise was a plus! Continental breakfast had a good selection. Food was refilled frequently and area always clean and neat. Would definitely use Ramada Boston again!
