Low-key, cozy, chic, getaway
I flew up to Boston to visit friends for the weekend...no major plans, just wanted to enjoy good times and food! I had a great experience while staying at the property. The hotel is not near the heart of downtown Boston, but it was nice to have a quiet place not too far from key locations in the city. The staff was very helpful! I cut my finger (it was far from life threatening), but needed a bandage and someone came running to my room to aid me. The rooms are sooo cute, and comfy...overall a great stay!

Quick overnight in the city
We wanted a convenient location so we wouldn't have to drive all the way home after the Black Eyed Peas concert. This property was perfect for it. We weren't there long but we did use the pool & hot tub. Pool was only a lap pool but was just fine for a quick dip. The property itself was very nice & the staff was pleasant & helpful. Beware the $42 charge for valet parking. There was a self park Option but it was only $10 less. We paid $170 incl tax but plus parking. It was still a decent compared to what else was available. I would return here if I needed to stay in Boston again.

Excellent choice!!
Rooms and hotel very clean, trendy decoration, nice staff, even though we didn't go to the bar and restaurant, they looked really good and there was a very conveniently located Starbucks in the rear side of the lobby... Distance to main areas of Boston is not bad at all, although you need to take the cab or the T (silver line), but for the price it was definitely the best option!!

Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel
Great location along the harbour. A 15 min walk from the downtown area. Service was great, hotel was clean and enjoyable ambiance. Only down point was the noise from the airplanes even if not right next to the airport.

Renaissance with one bad staff
I was happy and got the response from the hotel that they will get my room ready at the specific time on my arriving day. However, the day I arrived, I stiil wait over 45 minutes after long waiting for checking-in. However, the front desk staff was pretty nice to make sure my room can be ready, [...] The next day i went to asked a front desk staff some question(since when I called she seems very inpatient and hanged up my phone before I finished my question). I told her that I will need to stay longer after the check-out time since the possible flight delay due to the weather and I have a little one with me. She looked at my then firmly said "no". I asked if I can pay some extra fee or anyway to work out unless the hotel is booked. Then she responsed that I do not know, you can called tomorrow morning. The date after my check-out, I was informedthat the flight was canceled due to the weather. So I called the hotel and the same lady pick up my phone (Oh!), I told her that I was there in the past 4 days and will go back there right away from the airport since my flight was canceled due to the weather. In addition, I informed her that I already reserved the room for tonight throgh[...] and need her help to make sure the room is ready for me (It was 6:10pm already), the same she hanged up my phone before I finished my conversation with her. When I arrived I aksed her about the room she said the room is ready. Guess what? When I pulled all my bags and my little one to the room I found the room was not closed and I got some funny feeling right away. Yes, the room was not ready the staff is there and turn on the TV at the same time while he was preparing our room. I have no idea why the fron desk staff was so un-professional and so unfriendly for the customer. I believe she can call the house keeping before I went to my room and saw the mess in the room.

eh
This is a very attractive hotel by the waterfront (though the carpeting made me a bit dizzy). However, while formal, this is not a friendly hotel. The concierge did the minimum and stuck us with a room with a great view of a parking lot.

Nice convenient hotel
Reception and service was great. The only annoyance was a knocking sound from the ceiling (heating vents?). The room was spacious, and the hotel design is very nice.
