Great City break

Would recommend Wed 18 May 2016
We stayed at this hotel in 2014 and it was good then. Since that time it has been (and is still undergoing) refurbishment. It now has light decor which gives the rooms and the lobby a spacious and airy feel. Check in was fast and friendly. The hotel is in a great location with Boston Common and the Arlington Subway station just a few hundred yards away. Recommended .

What a dump

Would not recommend Thu 3 Mar 2016
I thought I was saving my company a few dollars, but it WAS NOT WORTH IT. The room was a total dump. There were whiskers on the ledge above the sink. Two towels had stains on them. The bathroom light had a layer of dust so think it couldn't have been cleaned any time in the last 6 months. I could hear every whisper in the room next to mine, as well. The lobby looks great and the renovated rooms look to be decent, but if you don't get a renovated room you WILL be disappointed.

Worst Experience Ever

Would not recommend Tue 19 Jan 2016
This hotel sucks!!!!! I really tried to give it a chance but every day I spent there was not a good experience. I wouldn't recommend to stay in this hotel 1. The rooms are very small, the bathroom is so little you can't event dress in there. TV was on a side of the bed so you could even watch TV. When I went downstairs asking if they could please change me to a room i could at least watch TV, they asked me for an extra $30 a night plus taxes 2. the staff was very rude, specially at the restaurant in the lobby. Waitress even ignore us when we wanted to pay the check. 3. Food is supposed to be served until 11 pm and small bites and bar until 1 am. We went down for a midnight snack two different nights and all of the nights they closed the kitchen when they felt like it. not respecting the schedule they offer their guest 4. the worst is that you can't sleep in this hotel. Stay for 3 night ad you could hear everything. Including our neighbors talking and snoring. Also you could hear people from the hall like they are inside your bedroom 5. Breakfast extremely expensive. they charges us $10 for a orange juice! $10 for a cup of coffee!!! I never write reviews but the experience in this hotel made me realize many people like me get fooled for pictures on the website and when you get here it looks nothing like it and costumer service sucks! Don't spend your money here. I honestly gotta say you get a better night sleep, and better service at a days Inner Motel!!! I gotta say the online nice service we had was from a latin woman doing house keeping!

Just Ok

Would recommend Tue 12 Jan 2016
The hotel was just fine. The rooms were clean and everyone was friendly. The hotel itself was really loud. There was construction and lots of events the hotel seemed to be holding that weekend. Room service was incredibly slow...so much so we ended up canceling our order. I didn't do enough research on location and was hoping to be closer to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, luckly the city is very walkable.

Be Careful

Would not recommend Sat 2 Jan 2016
The hotel was under remodeling on the floor I stayed (thus dusty and noisy) but no information was provided during my reservation or check-in. The room is quite old, though I usually don't mind the quality of a room. So, I would pass the problem. The worst thing came in the last minute. In the morning on the check-out day,a written invoice was delivered to my room, showing zero balance for some facility fee that wasn't even seen in my reservation process. I checked out anyway (zero balance) and then the front-desk lady emailed me, upon my request, the final receipt that showed some balance for the facility fee. On the right next day, I called back the hotel and was confirmed that it was obviously the Hotel's mistake and the facility fee won't be charged. Then, a week later, I found that the fee was indeed charged to my credit card.

Birthday Trip With LOTS of Surprises

Would not recommend Fri 11 Dec 2015
Long story short I traveled to Boston with 2 friends for a birthday celebration. The front desk was very accommodating! Pankadg made our trip more palatable aside from all the mishaps. We waited 30 minutes for our check at dinner even though the restaurant wasn't busy and were not impressed by the food. We did luckily get coupons for free breakfast since we brought this to our manager's attention....still we would've much rather have had a positive experience than needing to complain about anything. At breakfast the next morning we had our place setting and got up to get some food at the buffet. Next thing we know, we came back to find our place settings moved to the other side of the restaurant without an explanation. Just a very strange vibe. We also heard a couple speaking about bedbugs and that was enough to keep us away from this hotel. I'm willing to give it another try, but I certainly will not rush back until after the hotel has been renovated. Again, Pankadg was our saving grace but not everyone at the hotel was as sweet or understanding. I had high expectations for this hotel which were unfortunately not met.

Birthday getaway

Would recommend Fri 11 Dec 2015
My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay at the Park Plaza Hotel, the room size was a little small but added to the charm of the room. This is an older building, I was not disappointed in anyway with our stay. I will say some little things about the hotel are a little dated ie wall paper, carpets, etc. Overall though it was a wonderful time with no issues

Boston Plaza in a Nutshell

Would recommend Thu 10 Dec 2015
For the price, this hotel was great. The rooms are pretty small, and the bathrooms are a bit out dated. However, this a very old hotel. The view was nonexistent even after requesting one. Everything inside the hotel was pricey, then again it is Boston...The staff was great! The location was awesome! Valet was pretty expensive... The bar inside the hotel was expensive... Overall, I would stay here again though...
