Motel 6 Flint

Met my needs, love the $, previous stays have been alright. would recommend for $ & location.

Girl at front desk on personal phone call. Had to wait til she was done to get assistance. No towels when I got to room. Took about 1.5 hours to get towels delivered to room. Rooms dark and dank. Need updating. Not filthy, just antiquated. Convenient to the highway!

We went to check in at 2pm[...] they didn't have any rooms.[...]The front desk told me there check in time was 3pm not 2pm. They said they would try to get me a room but i had to come back after 3pm. I came back at 5pm and they did have a room but I wasn't happy. Well over all better then the sleep in across the street. For $45, I really can't say it was that bad.. The king bed was huge that's a plus. The bathroom faucets well off when i turned on the shower. I had to pay $4 for internet and then the code they gave me didn't work so i called down to the front, they gave me a number to call because the code said it was already used. I called the number they gave me and they said the code was used last week, so i called the front desk again and they said ohhh well someone forgot to removed that code from the system. So by the time I got online and got my homework done it was 3am. I can't forget the prostitutes 7 doors down booked 3 rooms and walked the parking lot. But for the price it was better then the sleep in....

The general area was good, plenty of places to eat and gas station near by and it is close to freeway.

Only stayed because the hotel was so cheap and had a good location from a map standpoint for a business traveler. Once you get to the location you realize how bad of a community and location the hotel is in. When I pulled into the parking lot there were 6 police officers walking around the area with hand ready to grab their gun. The receptionist was out talking to the cops and I waited for 15 minutes in the lobby at the "late night check-in window" helpless. There was no phone to call someone or a bell to get someone's attention. I called the front desk thinking someone would wake-up to check me in, but no. After finally checking in, I was walking to my room and was told by the police officer to get in my room and lock the door. The room was your typical Motel 6. You get what you pay for. I reserved a king / non-smoking room and was given a room with two double beds. The ash tray with the no smoking sticker on it had ashes inside and the "no smoking room" was overwhelmed with the scent of smoke. The sheets on both beds had many cigarette burn holes inside them. The room was probably about 50 degrees when I walked in and took a good hour and a half to get the room comfortable. Overall terrible experience and will not ever stay again not only for the poor condition of the motel but for the safety of my life! I slept with one eye open.

Orbitz told us we could check in at 2pm - rude staff stated 3pm! Wouldn't even let us in a room to change for the wedding we were attending. Complained at check in with anotehr staff member - told me she would give me a discount - it was only $ .95 different than Orbitz's price. Wouldn't stay there again. Clean rooms though - staff unfriendly.

We got in about 11pm and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and quiet. The age of the hotel was showing a little but was kept in good order. And the location was perfect, just off the Interstate with lots of restaurants, gas stations, and other shops near by. Had a great night's sleep and were on our way the next morning.

I relaxed in the air conditioning and went swimming.

We really enjoy staying at that motel.
