Grand Rapids gem with an indoor water park

Great Location, Shabby hotel with small pool, crowded
We stayed for two nights in May 2013. The room was a fair size but we asked for a room change as we were given a king bed for our family of four and had a rude response from the front desk and no change given the hotel was booked. They said that we must not have been clear when booking and that those who book online get whatever they get, they (hotel) choose. They offered a roll out but said it would not fit with the sofa bed, so we stuck with the sofa bed and king bed but were not impressed with how they handled the situation. I was polite and asked if anything could be done and I was talked over and basically dismissed as a discount online shopper. Location - perfect; Hair cut place in front of hotel property - Sports Cuts = great for teen boy, will return for future cuts, coupon from hotel was appreciated; crowded pool and it was so small given the write up about this being a waterpark facility. Will book another hotel next time I visit.

A BAD-2 day getaway
I am so upset. We get there and they put us in a Room that the Maid had NOT even been in. We went back down to the desk and were given another room. The next morning....we go to leave to meet up with family and I came REALLY close to tripping over the new carpet that they were laying in the hallway. The carpet was laid over the doorway while they were putting it in. We were sooo mad and thankful that I caught myself!! Later we get back to the room and we were going to go swimming and relax. I have Interstitial Cystitis and the pool would have helped me not hurt so much. The Pool and everything in there was CLOSED. We were also LOCKED OUT of our room twice...luckily I was in the room the second time to let the other person in. I booked this room on the amenities that were advertised for the hotel. I have never had problems with booking good trips through here.....until Now (I only book through here). At this point I am ok with NEVER staying there again. I am so upset about our trip.

The hotel started ripping out carpet when it was packed druning spring break. Then the water slide was not open all day like the people in the office said it would be druning spring break.

Hockey Get Away
The hotel was easy to find. They had a nice pool area. The room keys would quit working and I had to get them redone twice. I did not have my keys next to my cell phone. The bath tub drain emptied slowly which was fixed after I pointed it out to the staff. All in all the hotel was fine and I would stay there again.

There is a nice mall within a block walking from the hotel and there are a lot of restaurants very close. The Old Chicago restaurant attached to the hotel was very good.

Great spot for kids
Spent the weekend here and my two young kids really enjoyed the waterslide. I was without a vehicle but food and shopping is close by so no troubles getting there. Overall enjoyed the hotel.

They were doing renovations, lots of rooms were being worked on during our stay. . Should be nice when they are done. Wish they were working at a section of rooms at a time instead of room next door to us.. Pool was nice, kids would love it...

We had a great time at this hotel! The room was great for the price. And when it said that we were getting a pull out couch I didn't realize it ment we had an extra room with a full kitchen that was awesome!! There are only a few things you could do to improve the hotel. 1. The pool was so much smaller than it looked in your pictures and we could barley swim due to how crowded it was. But the slide, mini pool for little kids, and game room were quite fun. 2. For the price we paid you should really consider a free breakfast. 4.50 for some donuts and maybe an egg is pretty unreasonable. 3. The tv selection kind of stunk. You should consider hbo instead of showtime. When I wanted to relax to a movie at bedtime the movie channel only played sports. And I know u rent movies but im not going to pay $5 for something I could get for a dollar on redbox. Other than that we had an excellent time!!

There are so many attractions with in 15 miles of the hotel my family had a great time especially at Craigs Cruisers and the Grand Rapids Public Museum's Titanic exhibit!

Pleasant experience
Hotel with an indoor pool with a water slide, in room hair dryer and coffe maker for less than $50 per night when combined with my rental car! Sweet.
