Historic elegance meets modern convenience
The Depot Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel was originally built as a railway station, which dates back to the early 1900s. Now lovingly restored and fitted with modern amenities expected of an upscale hotel, the old-world charm is retained within the modern features. The property offers a unique venue for weddings, special events and corporate meetings. A seasonal ice-skating rink and indoor water park provide great entertainment for guests. Charley's Grill offers savory cuisine – a taste of classic Mid-Western fare and deserts as well as room service. For a more intimate snack or drink, the Stone Arch Bar offers a glimpse into the urban style of the steam-train age. The Depot Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel is smoke-free.

good rooms, a touchy pricey compared to similar hotels
very clean, comfortable hotel in downtown MPLS. I stay here only when prices are competitive (>$200/night), other times I'll stay at the W, etc since they are all comparable. When priced right, it's my 1st choice. It is walking distance to business areas and Target field, but not much else

Big Ten Getaway
I really enjoyed my stay here. My room and the staff were excellent. I thought the drinks were rather pricey in the bar, so I didn't take advantage of the bar in the hotel once I found out the beer prices. But I did have a fridge in my room, so I took advantage of that for water/soda/ and adult beverages. The food was great as well. The breakfast buffet was incredible. Thanks again for a great time.

Just OK
The hotel is in a great spot and has a car service that will take you anywhere in downtown for $10, although the driver gave us a phone number to get back to the hotel, but never answered the phone. Beware, they have a waterpark on site so it family central. We were trying to have a relaxing night out, but paperthin walls and screaming children are not plentiful. I would not go back unless with the kids.

Great Hotel, nice location.
I found this hotel to be very clean and convenient to all parts of Minneapolis. The staff was very nice and things went very smooth. Safe location. My only complaint was the valet service was a bit of a hassle at times. Id self park.
