The Grand Hotel Minneapolis a Kimpton Hotel

My husband and I needed a short get-away and wanted to enjoy everything that downtown Mpls has to offer by foot. This hotel is beautiful and has a perfect location to walk to different restaurants and bars.

Stayed close to our daughter in Minneapolis . Has a fabulous fitness club in hotel included . No recreational pool. Restaurant in hotel opens late. Room service breakfast is available. The hotel staff was helpful in recommending a breakfast restaurant near hotel. Close to Light rail for transportation to and from the airport. Would stay again with out hesitation. The hotel restaurant has excellent food.

Everything was fine except window locked. I wanted to refresh the air of room. However, the window is like wall there was no way to open the windows.

As always this Kimpton Hotel is stylish and sophisticated. I enjoyed it very much and loved the bar and lobby. Not a large hotel but that's no an issue, it just means there are less options for eating in or space for the lobby. However, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

A beautifully appointed metro hotel within steps of the interior walkways of downtown Minneapolis. The room left nothing to be desired and the staff accomodated us with friendly and gracious responses. Our best stay in the "twin cities" over the last twelve years of visiting. Leave the chain hotels and enjoy true comfort at this fine location.

The room was so clean and inviting. Loved the huge mirrors and bathroom. Staff were friendly and service excellent from front desk to valet parking. Skyway on this particularly cold, windy Mpls weekend in January was a plus. Happy hour was the best ever experienced. Very generous.

We spent two nights in downtown Minneapolis. Great value for the quality of the hotel. The skyway makes it very convenient to find a variety of restaurants. There is an underground tunnel to reach the parking ramp across the street. It's very close to the Hiawatha Light Rail that will take you to the airport, Target Field, Metrodome, or Mall of America.

I was completely satisfied and would definitely stay there again. The room was clean and stylish. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions and toiletries I had forgotten. You get a $5 credit for the restaurant if you decline maid service.

We decided to stay downtown Minneapolis the night before droping out son at College. The hotel is older, but has a modern spa facility attached. The linens and bed were soft and comportable. The staff was vry freindly and helpful with suggestions for dinner. We discussed dinner options while enjoying a free glass of wine. We ended up at Ocean Air for dinner which was fabulous and just one block away. We borrowed the hotel's bikes in the morning and used the steam room at the spa which was a great way to start the day. The only negative is that the server at breakfast was unfriendly and slow.

We got this hotel for our wedding weekend. We wanted a room big enough to accomodate the hair stylist, make-up artist and entire bridal party for getting ready...and the room was HUGE! We had plenty of room for everything. The room/hotel was super modern and clean! Love it! Only downside was loading and unloading were a little difficult with the busy street, but other than that it's an A+ hotel! The hotel was so close to food, shopping, entertainment and the major site! Would highly recommend it to anyone!
