Comfy and spacious
I enjoyed my stay. The room was spacious, especially the bathroom. Everything was new and clean and the contemporary style was nice. The staff was friendly and the location couldn't be better - near to all the Minneapolis stadiums, good restaurants, transportation, and only about 10-15 minutes from the airport and Mall of America. I was surprised that a small carafe of coffee in the morning came out to $9.50. So expect the 'additionals' you may want on your stay to be a bit pricey. Otherwise, I believe the price you'll pay for the room is worth it.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
There is a parking garage just around the corner from the hotel that is open to the public. The prices are better than the hotel garage and it is still secure. The best part is the elevator out of the garage comes out into the office building next door to the hotel which allows for a safe, clean, lighted and quiet walk (which I appreciated coming in late at night).

Meh...
The room was nice and about what I would expect for the price. There were issues with the valet and some of the staff seemed bothered to help. There were also additional charges placed on the bill that were taken care of yet made me really question what was going on at the hotel. Location is not bad.

Love this Hotel!!!
This is located downtown Minneapolis. We pulled right up to the valet parking and they unloaded our car and took our luggage up to the lobby. We arrived prior to check-in but the staff let us check in early and even gave us a room upgrade! I love how they have a wine reception at 5:00 pm. We also signed up on-line to be Kimpton members and received free wi-fi. The rooms were big and bright. Very clean and very comfy. I would recommend paying the extra $5 to $10 to use their valet parking instead of using a public lot. Just being able to call down and in 15 minutes they bring the car up for you is awesome.

Short walk from hotel
We went to the Dakota Jazz Club which you can get to easily through the inside walk-ways or a couple of blocks walk out side. There is also good shopping along the walk-ways.

great location for business traveler
great location and amenities. very large and updated bathroom. my only complains: 1. they charge $10/day for internet access 2. calling front desk is a bit weird for a hotel - no one seemed eager to pick up the phone there

great stay for weekend getaway
Super friendly and helpful staff. Great location, within walking distance of Metrodome and many great restaurants. Walkable to art museums and sculpture garden. Very comfortable room, despite the awkward layout and dead space.
