A little of this and a little of that
The hotel's setting in an old bank building is unique, and the lobby design maximizes that in a good way. It's in a convenient downtown location and its connection to the skyway is great, with weather independent access to shopping, food and attractions; it is also close to the light rail (an easy and inexpensive trip from the airport). The desk staff is friendly and goes out of their way to be accommodating. I did not get a chance to use the work out room or the pool, but it's great that they were there. I liked the environmentally friendly option of passing on daily room cleaning. Unfortunately, the room itself was disappointing. It is attractively furnished, and the double head shower option felt great. The latter was important because the bed is not as comfortable as it looked and I woke up hurting. My city view looked directly into a parking garage; only an upraised head gave me obstructed views of other buildings. The bathroom sink had a black crack across the entire bottom, and the shower control was loose and moved when I used it. Both bothered me in a four star hotel, as did the lack of a complementary shower cap and face soap.

Nice rooms, nice location, nice
It's in the middle of downtown Minneapolis, which, if you happen to come from a big city, is really REALLY small, you can walk the entire downtown area within 30 minutes probably. The staff is friendly, the service was adequate. The rooms are really nice. For the price you're paying, you're getting a nice hotel. Also, the bed is super comfy. Surprising pro: 1. really good restaurant in the lobby! 2. double showerheads 3. fluffy bedsheets Big drawback: walls are paper-thin. you can hear everything.

Perfect Location
The location is fantastic, close to Nicolette Mall where most of the restaurants are, and only half a block away from the light rail that takes you to the Mall of America. The staff was incredible friendly and overall, I had a great experience on my first trip ever to Minneapolis.

Classy stay downtown Minneapolis!
Lobby was gorgeous - right upon arrival you know you're staying at a 4-star hotel! The rooms were clean, beds were comfy and the showers were especially awesome. Our only complaint were the concierge dinner & drinks recommendations as well as the fact that the Lincoln town car "taxis" lurking around out front of the hotel are very misleading...dont take one! Way expensive and drivers don't know where they're going. But hotel itself was tops!

Really beautiful lobby, very convenient
I didn't make use of any amenities, but I was very impressed with the room - it was clean, comfortable, and stylish. And VERY quiet. I also LOVED the lobby - the hotel was originally a bank, and had been renovated, keeping a lot of nice features (the old vault is now a wine cellar). The lobby area had plenty of comfy seating with free wi-fi, as well as computers and printers available. The hotel is just a few hundred feet from the tram, which goes directly to both MoA and the airport; and its only a couple of blocks from the main downtown restaurant and shopping area. I'll come back.

Great location for a downtown stay
I spent weekend. Rate was good on those days. Great location for anything in downtown. The lobby is mostly the restaurant. Had a very good lunch and breakfast there. Rooms are typical great Westin furnishings. Saturday night had a couple of loud returns by "happy" guests that woke me. I will go back there again when the opportunity occurs.

Was in town for a weekend to see the Cubs play the Twins. Hotel was perfect for location - 5 minute walk to the park. Parking was nearby and very reasonable. Lots of nice restaurants, bars, etc. around the hotel. I would stay there again.
