Once-historic bank becomes modern Minneapolis luxury
The downtown Westin Minneapolis is a faithful blend of historic significance and modern luxury. Transformed from the Farmers & Mechanics Bank, this Tony four-star hotel retains the original World War II era woodwork, marble staircase and vaulted lobby. Guest rooms are equipped with modern amenities like MP3 players, flat-screen TVs and Internet access (fees apply). Following adventure on the town, the end-of-day rewards here are plenty: an indoor pool cloaked in midnight blue, a dimly lit cocktail lounge and a savory dish or decadent treat at B.A.N.K.

A very Classy place!!
A Beautiful Hotel in an updated old Bank building in a great location downtown. The room was spacious and modern. We had excellent care from their staff. My only complaint - $30 per night for parking.

Great Getaway Spot
We enjoyed our stay very much. Well appointed Room and the hotel is located within walking to many dinner and entertainment venues. Highly recommend this for it's value.

Amazing hotel in Minneapolis
I spent 4 nights in Twins Cities in two different times, I have changed always hotel, last night i tried the westin minneapolis, it was best solution. The hotel is located in the heart of minneapolis, for example it is near to Nicollet mall ( the shopping street of Minneapolis). The hotel building, in the past, was a bank and the interior aspect is still the same, so it seems to be in a 50th's movie. The room is very comfortable and it has a modern design look.

Great location!
A friend and I stayed in Minneapolis for the marathon and found the Westin was perfect for our needs. Close to everything for shopping and the rail for traveling. Thanks Orbitz!

Excellent in every way
I can't think of anything that needs improvement. Great location in walking distance of the nightlife in downtown. The staff was friendly at checkin. Valet parking was $30. Room was exceptionally clean and everything looked brand new. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud and the room was quiet. Great deal as it was 20-50 cheaper than the other high end hotels in downtown on this night.

Overnight getaway
This hotel is superb! The only thing I would change would be not having housekeeping banging on the door at 8am (There was a mix-up and they thought we had already checked out?) but otherwise our stay was amazing. Would definitely go back!

On par with Westin's overseas
When compared to other Westin properties we've stayed in around the world, this hotel did not disappoint! In fact we were surprised by the level of comfort, service and sophistication of the place. Something we did not anticipate in Minneapolis! Strongly recommend this hotel.
