Once-historic bank becomes modern Minneapolis luxury
The downtown Westin Minneapolis is a faithful blend of historic significance and modern luxury. Transformed from the Farmers & Mechanics Bank, this Tony four-star hotel retains the original World War II era woodwork, marble staircase and vaulted lobby. Guest rooms are equipped with modern amenities like MP3 players, flat-screen TVs and Internet access (fees apply). Club Seven is an amazing place, not that long of a walk but not a short walk either (it was 5 degrees when i was down there so that probably made it longer..TWSS)

Amazing!
My experience was great!! I feel like I cheated the system by how low I payed for such great service! I've paid the same amount for other hotels before! The place is truly amazing!

Great Hotel
The Westin is a beautiful hotel with very nice guest rooms. The bed and bathrooms are some of the best I've ever seen in any hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The elevators are ran completely by your room key, which is a nice safety feature, but they did create issues as they seemed to have difficulty reading sometimes. Parking in the area is less than desirable, but overall it was a good experience, and I would definitely stay again.

I was disappointed. It was just the name.
The Westin provided no parking except for expense valet parking unless you wanted to drag your luggage down the street. The check in was rather slow and to find the registration desk was difficult. It would of been helpful if someone would of offered to carry your luggage in or directed you to the back of the hotel behind the very nice restaurant. The bathroom was small with dim lighting which was hard to see. The shower was nice but no bath tub. The hotel had a beautiful stainless steel pool. I would of appreciate real cups for coffee in the room rather than paper cups. The coffee brand was very nice. The lack of parking makes it not accessibe if you have a car.
