very happy
We were a little worried about the hotel because it was inexpensive and didn't look as nice in the pics, but were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The staff was amazing, the room was nicer than expected, the kids loved the pool, breakfast was great for a hotel, etc. I would definitely stay again. They just need to fix the jets in the hot tub and they'd be set.

Great extras for a budget price
I needed to stay for a night at the Pear Tree Inn and was looking for a hotel that would fit the needs of my student budget. The hotel was clean, offered hot breakfasts, a free drink in the evening and popcorn. I didn't get a chance to explore the other amenities, but my room was clean and parking was free. No complaints in the least.

First and last time...
*The ONLY good thing was the staff. They were very friendly! *The room was not cleaned well. There was hair(not ours) in the tub, and on the walls of the shower. The bathroom floor was dirty. There was toilet paper in the toilet when we arrived. We could barely see out our window it was so filthy. Who knows what we didn't see! *The thermostat was difficult to control. There was no constant temperature in the room. It would be hot then cold then hot...and so on. *The 'free' breakfast...there's a reason it's free. It was awful. *We had lights in our room that didn't work. We called the front desk, and they said they would send someone up to look at them. A half hour later, no one had come up yet, and by that time we were ready for bed. Unacceptable. *Definitely would not stay here again.

Pear Tree Consistent
Spent a quiet week in this hotel. Comfortable room. The staff is outstanding-- Clean and the breakfast was good every day.

Safe and Clean in St Louis

Great location for what we needed
The employees were great! They helped us with anything we needed. My only complaint was that the beds weren't the most comfortable, luckily we were only staying one night. The location was perfect, we were within waking distance of going to see a band and then a short cab ride to downtown for the rest of the evening.
