Great stay for the price. Great value.
Our room was very clean. All the staff seemed really nice. My only complaints are that the shuttle that was supposed to run every 30 min, I never saw one time in our 3 days there. You are kind of far from the strip and most entertainment. If you are looking for somewhere convienent stay elsewhere. Also to get the password to internet cost you $12.99 for 24 hours. But overall a great stay.

Quiet
A Place to Crash
The room was acceptable, particularly if you just want to play the slots. If you also need to take care of business, it is below average. The internet connection for a hard line was 12 inches long with no place to place your labtop or to plug it in. If you choose the wireless option, it is difficult to get the code from their TV channel. This required 20 minutes of multiple tries before the TV could be enabled and when one signs in, there are multiple sites to connect to without guidance which is the correct one. All this costs $13/24 hours. Only bothered to do this once on a multiple day visit. If you want to go to other casinos in Vegas, you will likely have to wait quite awhile for a taxi to show-up. Walking next door to the Rio casino/hotel is the best way to get a Taxi as they have a steady flow of them morning, noon and night.

Calm stay off the strip
Nice place to stay off the strip. Nothing fancy but it's cheap and relatively clean, and the hotel seems less smokey then the nearby Rio. And the have a bowling alley, which was fun.

Off Strip Value!
I was staying here to save $$$ and that I did! I was not disappointed. You get what you pay for. I was attending a conference at a hotel on the strip and they were charging more than double for the room fee per night than I paid here for both nights combined. I would definitely reconsider staying here for another conference in Vegas.

Not someplace I would visit again
I would never stay at Gold Coast again. Room was on bottom floor next to loading dock. Very noisy early in morning. Bathroom was small and in poor condition. Sink was cracked. Tub was discolored. Shouldn't rent these rooms if they are not on a par with the upper levels. Have to go through Casino to get anywhere in building. Smoke is intolerable, don't seem to have very good ventilation system for smoke removal. For the amount of money paid for room it was not worth it.

Great Family Getaway
The hotel room and hallway area were very musty. The carpet was stained in our room, but seemed to be otherwise clean. The A/C barely worked & our room was uncomfortably warm the entire stay. Other than those issues everything was great.

Not bad, but not fantastic.
It wasn't the best or the worst room. But at the rate that I got it for, I most definately got what I paid for.
