Rooms
Over 2,000 non-smoking rooms and suites across four towers offer a deluxe variety of accommodations at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino. Standard rooms in the luxurious Rush Tower are a generous 439 square feet and feature iPod docking stations, 42" plasma screens, DVD players, pillow-top beds and down comforters, and bathrooms with twin decolav sinks, a lighted makeup mirror and waterfall showerheads. The Nugget's spacious Carson Tower rooms are more formally styled, with marble lined bathrooms and pillow-top beds. More classic standard rooms in the Gold Tower include pillow-top beds and 42" plasma TVs, while Gold Club Rooms on the 16th and 17th floors offer more modern styling and concierge-level amenities. Suites in the Spa Tower, most of which are two-level, come with a wet bar, living and dining areas, large bathrooms with two-person spa tubs and dramatic views. No matter the tower, most rooms offer a variety of views that include the Vegas Strip, Spring Mountains and/or the pool deck.Features
Daredevils love the Golden Nugget's three-story waterslide for more than just the drop – the slide also plunges through the immense shark tank by way of a secure tube. Also on the third floor of The Tank, the secluded Hideout pool deck offers an adults-only scene with an infinity pool and the H20 Bar. Back inside, the 45,000 square-foot-casino draws gamers to its popular slot and video poker machines, table games, race and sports book and poker room. The Golden Nugget also offers select retail (including a jewelry shop and high-end boutique apparel), an arcade and a golf concierge. Cabanas and daybeds at both the Golden Nugget and Hideout pools are available for a fee. Free self- and valet parking is available.
Dining
As with most luxury Vegas resorts, dining options at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino range from seafood at Chart House with its 75,000 gallon tropical fish aquarium, Vic & Anthony's for steak, Red Sushi, Grotto Italian, Lillie's Asian Cuisine and The Grille. Start the day with coffee at Starbucks or breakfast at the Buffet or Carson Street Cafe. The Cheap Tourist
Best Downtown Hotel Experience in Las Vegas
The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino is great place for Vegas vacation for someone on a budget. The luxurious pool and shark tank will not disappoint you with five different shark species and the sand tiger sharks are at least 12 feet in length. The bed was just what I wanted in comfort and I slept the sleep of the dead. The location is ideal for strolling along the Fremont Street pedestrian mall, taking in The Mob Museum or the picking up the Deuce Bus to the Strip. The area abounds with inexpensive place to eat, including pizza, breakfast, tacos and Dunkin Donuts. My only complaints are the paucity of television channels, just the locals and the very basic cable, on the TV in the rooms. Also be very wary of opening any water bottles or using the coffee maker. That water bottle will cost you seven bucks, yes that is $7.00 for a bottled water, and that coffee will cost you ten more. The hotel will try to charge you for every little item and you won't know about it until you get home. BE CAREFUL!

First time vegas trip
The hotel itself was nice. Our room was rather far from the casino. The drains were a little slow in the sink and tub. And it was quite a distant from the casino. But other than that was okay. We loved the pool. and the Breakfast buffet was good also.

Great Vacation with Adult Children
We have stayed at The Golden Nugget several times. Hotel staff are always friendly. The rooms are always clean. We like staying Downtown where it is a little quieter at night. We enjoy the Freemont Experience and The Golden Nugget is in the heart of it all.

The place to stay downtown.
Downtown Vegas has a different vibe from the strip. It's earthier, but more exciting in its own way. The Golden Nugget stands out as a luxury hotel/casino in the area. We've been staying there for 20 years or more.

Room theft
The hotel itself is great. The staff is not. We had put the privacy sign on the door and left the room. When we came back the sign was gone, the room semi-cleaned. Beds had been made, room service cart removed (which we did want things left on it) and a towel replaced. It was not vacuumed nor was the bathroom cleaned. We reported this and basically got a very cavalier attitude about another guest probably removed the sign. The next day same thing happened only this time whoever came in stole half of my daughters prescription. Security was the only one who cared! Management did not.

New Year trip
This is the 4th time I've stayed at The Golden Nugget which speaks for itself! It is the best downtown hotel by far & well worth the extra couple of $ per night. Rooms are a very decent size, clean & very comfortable - especially the beds. All the staff are friendly & helpful from the reception staff through to the bar & restaurant staff and the maid service. I would highly recommend you stay here - the buses to the strip can be found nearby & the bus stop when returning is located directly outside the hotel.

Great Fremont Experience
We stayed at the Carson Tower and wish we would of stayed in the other tower because it was quite a distance to get to room! Rooms were average and clean! Kids will love the shark & fish tank beside the pool, and water slide that goes through and is clear where they can see them as they go through part of it!
