Hard Rock Hotel
From Check in, the staff was not very friendly. Checking in took nearly 25 minutes. Staff at the front desk did not seem to know exactly how to do there job. It took them three times to enter my information, swipe my credit card and get the information to save. They explained that a deposit would be put on my credit card, but wouldntbe charged unless there was damage to the room. They failed to mention that you could not bring food or alchohol to your rooms purchased from outside the hotel. Here we are with close to $50 worth of food and alchohol and thwy would not let us into the hotel. Some of the staff stated you can have it if you can get it to your room, but security guarded elevators and stairwells. They checked luggage and bags upon entry. One of our rooms had no air conditioning for the first day and a half, the power in the bathroom would go out if you plugged in a blow dryer, and the overall cleaniless was less than expected. We were in a non smoking room, but cigarette butts were disposed of on the threshold of the french doors in the room, air vents in rest room were covered in dust, and there were spills on the side of one bed. In the other adjoining room the light switch in the bathroom did not work. We also paid a $7 / day resort fee, but this as well was not explained to us. One perk was a "free" shuttle to the strip, which wasnt running the first day because the air was out. Also, this is free transportation to and from the strip, offered to people who are not staying in the hotel, who are not paying a resort fee.

Pay a little more and stay on the strip
-The majority of the pool was closed. -Hot tub was cold -Major construction going on, constant noise. I was on the 7th floor over looking the pool, i was excited about that until 7am the next day when some one was hammering on the floor in the room on the 8th floor, i called Guest services who told me that they are deep cleaning the 8th floor and they aren't supposed to start till 8am.... The hammering did stop for an hour but there was enough noise still going on to keep me awake. - Shuttle service ended at 9pm, you then have to pay $10 for a taxi which is easier enough, but for the money i was paying for a taxi every night i could of stayed at another hotel, on the strip, without construction and with an open pool.

Too many hidden charges
Not a good location, cab rides very expensive! I was told about charges after we were already there and had no choice. Room was not as describes at all! No mountain view ... wall view. Look out of the french doors at a wall, probably only 25 ft away from door!

A Huge Disappointment
The hotel was very disappointing. The casino and restaurant portions were excellent. However, the accommodations were very poor. The room we stayed at smelled like smoke even though we stayed in a smoke-free room. I was willing to look past that, but what I was unable to get past was the noise coming from the water pipes every time a neighbor flushed their toilet or turned on/off their water from their sink or tub. It was constant and kept me up all night. In addition to the noise, I felt that the fact that their mini fridge was weight sensored made the hotel management appear greedy. I would not stay at this hotel ever again.

New HRH Tower
Fun place and the new rooms were great but for the cost I expected better service in the new HRH tower. I didn't get my room cleaned the two nights I was there. I've stayed at less expensive hotels that have done a much better job of contacting your room and providing top notch service. I also tried to get in an early check in and was told that the front desk would call me as soon as my room was ready but sure enough I never got a call. When I went back to the front desk and asked again my room was miraculously ready. Remember, this was all at the new HRH suites tower which is supposed to be more of their VIP service. Overall, pretty dissapointing service.

Disappointing!!!
Had a lovely view of the roof of some part of the hotel, not really sure what it was since we were only on the second floor!! Obviously it was a place where people like to come and smoke because there were cigarette butts all over the place!! Very unpleasant!! Room had a fully stocked frig/mini bar, but if you removed anything from it ,(just to look at what it was), they charged it to the room. They did remove the charge from the bill. But if you want a fridge of your own in the room you have to make a special request!! The beds and the TV were nice!! The bathroom was okay, but the hot water ran out after 5 minutes (we were trying to take a bath). Everything was just outdated!! Staff was okay-but did not honor the Hard Rock Access Card, even though the website said they would!! Our Black Jack dealers were the most awesome part of the entire stay!! I always wanted to stay at the Hard Rock, but was very disappointed!!! Never again!!

HRH Vegas
Great atmosphere for the young (or young at heart). However, not suitable for the business traveler. Too loud for any kind of meeting or conversation. Lucky Grill is tired looking (torn up and sagging booth seats). Casino Tower rooms were average and the bathroom design was horrible. Absolutly NO countertop in the bathroom. How about having to keep the toothbrush on the back of the toilet? That was the only place to put anything down in the entire bathroom.
