Loved the hotel
I really like the layout of the hotel, so that when you come down from the guest rooms, you don't have to go through the entire casino to get to a coffee shop or restaurant. The room was great; very comfortable and the staff were very accommodating.

The biggest issue of staying at Mandalay Bay is that it's quite far from most everything else. The trams help and they certainly have plenty of taxis. It's a pretty inclusive place though, so one could stay there for a couple of days and never go anywhere.

Nice hotel, great beach and pool area, definitely a plus for warm weather months.Pool area was quite busy though. A little far south on the strip but still relatively easy to get everywhere. A little disappointed that the opening date of Light was pushed back, that was part of the reason we booked here.

nice getaway
good hotel, we enjoy our stay.The only bad thing was the refrigerator in the room was so noisy,they need to fix this.my husband was disapointed frm the slots mashines(they were so thight).but overall we love the stay(the pool its really nice)

Inconvenient
We stayed at THE Hotel and found it far from the beaches and front desk. The Taxi location was a plus, however. We thought for the resort fee a few of the amenities should have been complimentary...they were not. Checking in lines were exceptionally long as they have been in the past. We thought they might have corrected this problem.

Customer service was great! It was my sisters birthday and they actually gave an adjoining room which I requested. That was a plus. Love the over 21 bar!

Good for what it is
The Pool area is incredible, as is the Casino floor and property in general. I had a blast, and everyone treated us really well. The bed is a bit older/spongy, but it wasn't a problem (I have memory foam at home so I'm spoiled). Some aspects of the room were a bit older... I don't want to say "dingy", but definitely a bit worn. There was also a hair on one of the pillows when we checked in. Seriously though, I'm being nitpicky here, because the room was great, and the Mandalay Bay is pretty sweet overall. Plus. for the rate I got booking online, it was WELL worth it.

Rude staff, poor service
Mandalay Bay started by not accommodating any of our requests. They failed to provide smoking rooms as requested, they also put us in what they called "two queen beds" rather than a king, however I sleep on a queen at home, and that certainly was not a queen. Additionally the room had not been fully prepared prior to arrival, there were no towels in the room and no tissue paper. Very odd things to leave off if I am honest. I attempted to call room service one night, the person that answered was so rude, that I ended the call and walked downstairs and fetched something myself. I am not in any way impressed by the Mandalay Bay, if you want a nice play to stay on the strip I would highly recommend the Venetian. Of all the places I have stayed, that has been by far my favorite.

Hit Downtown Las Vegas while you are there (Fremont St.) It has much lower table minimums for table games, there are a large number of casinos in a small area and it can be a great deal of fun to spend the day down there.
