Impressed

I enjoyed their buffet and other eating establishments located inside the casino. The rooms were nice, clean, and spacious. Employees were friendly and wonderful. I was really impressed with the quality of the room for the price that I paid. The only other thing that would've made the stay better would have been a 24hr pool and poolside bar.

Sam's Town...a good value!

We stayed one night on our way out of Vegas, so we didn't get much chance to see all that this property had to offer. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We got a great rate- less than $50, so I can't complain about the lack of free wi-fi or lack of in-room coffee maker. It was a fast trip to the airport the next morning, and we loved not having to deal with all the chaos and crowds of properties closer to the strip when trying to leave town. I'd definitely stay here again! One word of warning- this property is huge and we had to drive around quite a bit to find the hotel entrance. We took advantage of the 15 minute 'hotel check-in' parking there so the front desk could give us a map and advise us where to park!

Good and Bad

I arrived with a round trip voucher to and from the airport only to find that the company no longer serviced Sam's Town. I hired a taxi for over twice the amount to get me there, now have to wait for the refund to clear my debit card. I arrived to the front desk and the Sam's Town Front Desk said, "Your reservation is for the wrong month, I cannot deal with you and you have to call Orxxx's to fix it, step aside, there is a long line behind you" and excused me from the front desk. I walked away thinking I was going to be left in the street without any accommodation and I thought well, my paperwork say's I am right. Subsequently, I returned to the counter to find that the error was on their end, not mine. He blew it off as if it wasn't any big deal, but he was rude and I just got off a plane with a bad experience with the taxi. Although Sam's rooms are nice; Needless to say, I ended my stay with another Taxi fare of which I wasn't expecting. Subsequently, the beginning and ending to my trip wasn't very nice.

Don't expect to be near anything else. It's a long way to the airport, downtown and to the strip. ($25 cab fare each way)

Great Place to stay

The rooms were roomy and clean, beds were a little hard, location puts you off the strip but not much traffic, easy access to most everywhere in Las Vegas, Great Restaurants(especially Billie Bobs), wonderful free show in main lobby.

Great Stopover

I was just passing through Las Vegas and this was a great place to stay off the strip. The room was very comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly. I would recommend this for a nice stopover. Especially if you want to stay away from the crowds on the strip or downtown. Only down side was that I thought the dinner buffet was a bit pricey at 17.95, for what they offered.

Better than on the Strip????

I would say yes.... the rooms are clean, big and in a good shape. The prices are really good. The buffet is one of the best in Vegas ( not for the quantity but for the quality)
