Family-friendly casino hotel with pool and bowling alley off the Strip
The popular and playful Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall on Boulder Highway in Las Vegas has kept the Western-themed fun going east of the Strip for more than 30 years. While continually improving with remodeled rooms, updated restaurants and 18-screen movie theater, the unpretentiousness remains. Great rooms for the price
Though not close to the strip or downtown, this hotel is a great bargain. Low prices, great rooms, nice staff, clean, many attractions. I highly recommend it. It also offers free shuttle service to the strip and downtown. I would have rated it a 5 star if it provided in room coffee service.

If you're looking for really cheap food and low end gambling ($2.00 Blackjack), just go across the street to the Super 8 motel casino.

Clean room
I was disappointed that there wasn"t any king size beds available and the tv channels were very minimal compared to hotels that I stayed at on the strip. However, my stay was still pleasant and I still had a good night's rest.

[...] The Hotel and staff at Sam's Town are great, the kids enjoyed the pool, the whole family enjoyed the lazer light show; we actually ended up staying an additional night!

I absolutely loved this hotel and the off-the-strip location. What sucked is that I traveled with my ailing Father, 4 year old daughter and a pregnant girl and we had to wait over an hour to check-in [...]

Hotel experience
We gambled...of course didn't win anything. Very typical of casinos these days. We love Sam's Town. It has a little of everything for everyone.

Willy and Jose's Cantina had excellent food plus bottomless margaritas for a very reasonable price. Very enjoyable experience.
