Really Great Hotel & Trip
The hotel is part of the new city center and I pcked it because it wall all-suite and a non gambling hotel. The staff and especially the concierge was fantastic and helpful. The rooms were as pictured, well appointed and had a contemporary feel that worked quite well. The Vdara is physically connected by bridge to the Bellagio so all the ammenities there were easily available. It is a quiet space compared to the Bellagio which is nice and all the excitement is right next to and out the door. The only negative is that the pull out couch was really uncomfortable as the mattress was much too thin and the coils were easily felt and less than comfy.

bring your own map or printed driving directions. The "local" maps are fine for the Strip alone but any trip outside of that I would suggest that you have your own. As for travel tips, the best advice I can give is to talk to and use the concierge at your hotel, they not only can give advice on where to go they can give "line passes" so you don't need to wait in line for dining and other difficult to attend events. Tipping them for great service is a nice thing to do as well. We saved considerably more time and money and service should be recognized.

Relaxing time at the VDARA Hotel
Upon arriving at the hotel I knew I had made the right choice. Walking through the doors, the wonderful aroma that greeted us was amazing. Each time we left and returned to the hotel, the scent was so welcoming. I wish I had asked what the scent was they used. I love small boutique hotels, and the VDARA even though it is very large, still had that intimate feeling when the staff recognized you and called you by name. Though this was a business trip, I took my husband and he enjoyed the relaxation of the room and the view. It did take us several trys before we could actually find our way into the hotel entrance. we could see it from the street, but had to redirect aabout 3 times. The swing on the front area was soothing and calming. I really felt like I was in one of the smaller boutique hotels. The staff was amazing and most accommodating.

Up-scale, accessible, comfortable
The Vdara is a new, ultra modern, all suite, full-service green facility having a staff that aims to please. We stayed on the 30th floor and had a great view of City Center from our spacious, fully equipped apartment. We were particularly impressed with the design of the building which interlinked with neighboring facilities and we loved the interior and exterior design features inculdig but not limited to creative wall decorations and sculptures.

Great Choice!
This was first trip to Vegas and first couple get away since kids. We were so pleased. Vdara hotel staff was extremely kind, even when we came in at 3:30 in morning... The hotel is a quiet, beautiful, escape. Our room was gorgeous..the pics on the site do no justice. The bathroom is so relaxing..deep tub...you get a modern sleek compact kitchen, little table, sofa, flat screen, WIFI with your $15 a day hotel charge..totally worth it. It is connected to the Bellagio..the best and cleanest casino, restaurants...shopping...can take tram to other hotels..shopping. We went for our 40th bdays to see Cirque Du Soleil--show is in the Belligio..the best show of there's is the "O" show all my research pointed in that direction..and so right...best show on this planet..surpassed my greatest expectations! The buffet at the Belligio is wonderful too--good tip...go around 10 or 10:30 and have breakfast food and lunch food which is served at 11. BTW..take a taxi if you come in after 11:00 to aiport--not shuttle...service is poor/not related to hotel==took Grayhound Shuttle..flight came in late..so had to wait a long time to take the shuttle..we had prepayed..so felt that we should wait it out a bit. Our King bed at Vdara was a dream..so comfortable. While we where there in Vegas, we also went to the Sincity comedy show in the Milemall in Planet Hollywood...an average show..ok for the price...we went shopping...did a little gambling...ate and of course the main event...the"O" show..so worth it..pay the extra and get the best seats ahead of time.on line ..

Vdara hotel
I got a free upgrade to panoramic view room. The room was very nice, big kitchen, stainless steel appliances, even washer and dryer. However, I expected a five star hotel to be cleaner. The bath tub had some light blue residual water in it. the robe had a oil spot on the back. There was no trash can in kitchen, room, or anywhere else. There was only one beside the toilet seat. I think the cleaning by room service was not done very well.

A gem for regular visitors
I usually stay at Bellagio, so that is my baseline for comparison with any other Vegas hotel. Vdara may be my new favorite: a kitchenette, a partial wall that separates bed from foldout sofa, good lighting, copious electrical outlets, and an exquisite spa experience. The lack of casino is a plus, since Vdara is a brief walk to the large casinos and excellent poker rooms at Bellagio and Aria. The high-end Crystals mall is also steps away, and although Vdara has only one bar and one restaurant (open for breakfast & lunch), it's easy to get to everything Bellagio and CityCenter has to offer. This is not a hotel for the first-time Vegas visitor who wants to have the full Sin City experience. Rather, Vdara is for those of us who visit regularly, whether on business or personal travel, and who want a quiet, well-designed room with huge windows. I'm definitely a convert.

Park in the Bellagio self-park garage. When you enter Bellagio (at the conservatory), take a left and follow the City Center tram signs; if you go straight ahead through the double glass doors, you're on the walkway to Vdara and you can avoid valet or the dreadful Aria self-parking.

Best Vegas trip so far
We decided to spend our 50th Birthday (my twin brother, his wife, my sisters and parants) by meeting in Vegas. The Vdara was an incredibly beautiful hotel, with an exceptional amount of room and amenities, especially considering the price. I think it is the nicest hotel we have stayed at stateside, with only a couple of Hotels weighing in better in Italy. It was also a great location right at the south end of the Bellagio and connected to it by a hall. We found the access to everything about as good as it gets in Vegas. The pool of course is nothing like Bellagio's but the absence of the mobs of people in the lobby was well worth it, and the rooms are better.

Vdara
there to play golf and a conference at another location. The only restraunt is open only for breakfast and lunch. room had kitchen facility but no coffee. Rooms very attractive, but built for guests who are 5'6" and under and weigh less than 100 lbs. Needless to say you bump into things - oftem. Closet door open only 1/2 way and you can't get from the bed to the bath if the door is open. It is a long walk from anything. Staff very friendly.
