The only thing good about this experience was the wifi connection. The room had a musty smell and did not have a working telephone so we could not call out or get a wake up call and the alarm clock did not work until we unplugged it and reset it. There was mascara all over the pillow case and the room was dirty - especially the bathroom which has no electrical outlet at all. I guess you are supposed to use your hair dryer or razor by the front door. We called the front desk using our cell phone and they were indignant that we were not satisfied. They promised to wake us up at 6am even if they had to knock on the door because the phone did not work and they never did. All this for $142/night. We won't be back. Contacted the parent company and asked for a refund. Still waiting for a response.

Rooms are filthy. First room was very musty and damp; also had a chirping smoke detector with a dead battery and a leaking faucet in the bathroom that could be heard very clearly in the room. The manager was friendly and immediately switched our room to a "suite" which was just as musty and dirty. Several electrical outlets didn't work. A terrible value for over $100 per night. This is at best a $50 per night truck stop motel.

Great location. Nothing special about the hotel, but no real negatives either. Many facilities at proximity.

Other hotels should learn from this place. Wifi is free and flawless and no password needed. No hassle check in and check out. Simple, but clean, room. Coffee maker, cable tv, plenty of towels, good refrigerator. Staff was tops.

We had a very good experience at this hotel. The owners are very friendly. We didn't have any problems while we were there. The room was very clean and came with a microwave, coffee maker, fridge, and freezer. There weren't any other amenities like a pool or gym, but that wasn't really important. We were just looking for a place to stay near Ithaca, and this was in a prime spot. It's very close to the Commons, about a 5 minute drive. The continental breakfast doesn't have very much of a selection, but it's good enough, about what I would expect from a hotel in this price range. This hotel was very much worth the money, I don't think it was over priced at all as some of the other reviews say

The staff was great. The room was average. It was at least worth what I paid. The bathroom needs work.

Considering the price I was pleased that the room was clean, the bedding in good shape, the shower towels large and fluffy. The TV worked well. The complimentary breakfast was pretty slim, with just plain white bagels, tiny muffins, and frozen pancakes for warm up in the microwave. Coffee from a thermos, milk in a gallon jug in the frig, and apple and orange juice from a dispensing machine. The desk clerk was helpful to a patron who asked to borrow some tools.

Room overall was not well cleaned, and there was peeling paint and stains on the bathroom walls. Mold and grunge in the shower, particularly where you are forced to stand, and in the corners of the bathroom tile floor. Tiled shower pan appears home made and slopes so steeply to the drain standing could be very diffult for someone (e.g., elderly) with balance issues. Also, some potentially serious health issues with the breakfast bar. For example the eggs were a frozen type designed for a microwave application, but were left sitting out in a plastic container without benefit of cooling. Who knows how many bacteria grow during the 3-hour breakfast period.

Clean and quiet. Short drive to Cornell. Spent time looking at a lone goose on the lawn. Maybe someone could find him/her a mate?
