Contemporary hotel with free breakfast, free airport shuttle near JFK

Don't Arrive Expecting Any Sleep

Holiday Inn Express KENNEDY AIRPORT definitely is not worthy. We arrived to find no parking space available. We were told by staff to double park in the lot and that should another guest need to move their car in the middle of the night, they would wake us to move our car. The room was filthy, with stained bedding, a terrible smell, and a glorified window a/c which only cooled a one-foot space in front of it. Granted, this hotel is an express airport hotel, but I at least expected a few hours of uninterrupted sleep in a clean and cool room!

Holiday Inn Express - June 15, 2009

I had requested a non-smoking room, but when I got there they placed me in a smoking room with a stench that led me to believe a person visits the room each morning to smoke a carton to make sure the room lives up to its name. I requested to be moved to a non-smoking room but they had none available. I attempted to air out the room by having the window open, but with the hotel located right next to the freeway this isn't a perfect solution.

Dining tip: In Hotel

If you ask the hotel staff for menus to places nearby they will hand you several from places that deliver right to your room. Be prepared to wait a while if you order Indian food, but the Chinese food gets there fast enough and has a good taste

forget it

I stayed at this hotel near Kennedy Airport because I had a 7:00 a.m. flight. I specifically requested a 5:30 wake-up call which never came. I woke up by myself barely in time to catch the shuttle. In addition, check-in took 30 minutes at 12:45 a.m.

Worst hotel I stayed in

I had paid in advance for a nonsmoking room with two beds, and I received a room with one bed and a sofa with no sheets in it. The sheets were delivered to the room at 0:30 am. The receptionist was unfriendly and arrogant. Bad experience for high price.

holiday inn express jfk poorly organized

We arrived very late & were given a room with a queen size bed & a sofa bed. The site was clear that room selection was dependent upon availability. However there were no linens for the sofa bed & when we requested linens, we were given a mattress cover & no sheets. The other issue is the 24 hour shuttle to the air train that only offers service once an hour. A better organized hotel would have this information clearly posted. Overall, I was not happy with my stay.

Not Good

The rooms were tiny, the paint was peeling in the bathroom, people kept coming and going from their rooms all night long and I wondered what kind of place we were staying in. The room heater sounded like a vacuum cleaner everytime it went on and woke me up all night long. I would not recommed this place and it was no 3 star hotel!

Holiday Inn Express KENNEDY AIRPORT

no complaints except for breakfast staff who don't speak English and refused to understand that the desk clerk the night before told me I could get some food there before 6 a.m. when I had to take the shuttle to the airport. they were really quite ugly and a bit adverserial when it was the easiest thing in the world for me to just pick up an orange and a muffin; I wasn't even trying to use any machines that weren't ready yet -- quite unpleasant!

Not delivered promises

I booked the hotel in February for end of June stay. When we arrived tired, coming back from Europe, we were told that nonsmoking rooms are not available and we can get smoking room. After complaining, we were placed in basement room with smaller bed (we were promised king size). The staff told us that we would get what we want if we would order room directly from them and if we are not happy, they can refund us and we can go somewhere else. I check two hotels near by. They were full. I travel a lot and this was my worst experience.

unbeatable location for the price

THERE IS A GIRL NAME [...] she was very good to everybody this is that kind a woman you need in your busniss.I like the hotel they always there to help you out.

No Way

Unacceptable....we could not stay even one hour. I have lost my money on 3 rooms. It smelled like a bathroom. And looked lile one. I am very upset with the service. I give it a zero
