Super 8 Lake George/Downtown

convenient, clean, comfortable just what we needed.

Loud floors, thin walls, noisy plumbing. Not a quiet get away, but good for a quick overnight. Older décor, but clean. A little pricy for a roadhouse, at least in the off season. Right across the street from a convenient store/gas station.

The staff at the front desk were excellent. She was very helpful with some questions. The room was basic, but comfortable, clean and convenient. The balcony was a nice bonus, even if the only view was the parking lot and road out front. Yet with the balcony, you drove around to the back of the hotel and parked right at the door, walking in at ground level. This was very convenient, and we did stay there again on our return trip.

Had a quick one night stay on Columbus day weekend. Checked in on Saturday afternoon. Front desk was courteous and efficient (I think it was the owner/operator). Room was clean, large and comfortable. Nice extras like HBO and many other cable channels, and a refrigerator. Everything worked. No leaks, smells etc. Quiet throughout the night. Other members of my group stayed at a resort down the street and complained of noise (drinking etc. ) well into the night. Checkout Sunday morning was quick and courteous (owner again). Good location. I really appreciated that there were no unpleasnt surprises. Although my stay was very brief and I was barely in the room, I would definitely stay there again.

We made last minute reservations as close to Lake George Village as possible, so we could walk to town... it's about a 10-15 minute walk to downtown. It wasn't bad for the money...it was clean. Small, but clean. Parking was kind of tight for our Dodge Ram 1500 w/ 2 kayaks in the back...we hard to park out front as opposed to right next to our entrance door to our room.

Room was supposed to be oversized. If that was oversized, I would hate to see what regular was like. I think some of the rooms have to be redone.

We stayed at this hotel for a destination wedding in Lake George. It was relatively cheap for the area ($77/night) and in a good location. We had a king bed, and it had a kitchenette in it which was nice. It was a rather old looking room, but was clean and nice enough for just a few days. I'd stay there again.

Our trip to the Super 8 was great! We were traveling to a wedding and our brief overnight stay was a very pleasant and refreshing experience. The room was super-spotless and very comfortable.

Everything about the hotel was great except for one thing...they don't clean the rooms during your stay no matter how many nights! No clean towels! No clean bedding! No trash removal! There were 4 of us in the room for 3 days and 2 nights. There is a pool. We had 2 bath towels to share for 3 days. We were very disappointed considering that everything else that the hotel accomadated was perfect.
