Holiday Inn Express NEW YORK CITY FIFTH AVENUE

I put in a reservation for four people in a standard room. The room that we received could not accommodate four people- there was no room for a roll in bed and there was only one bed in the room. We found another hotel in the area that could accommodate the four of us and we asked this hotel for a refund; they refused to give us our money back even though they admitted they could not accommodate the four people. Very disappointing- no one would take responsibility for the situation.

We loved how centrally located the hotel was...just minutes from Time Square. What we hated was we booked a room for 4 people and all they gave us was a king size room. Obviously ORBITZ fails to tell you what types of rooms are available. We did get a roll away bed that became a fire hazard as the only place it would fit was in front of the door. Needless to say we all didn't sleep very good!

Upon arriving in my room, I immediately pulled back the bed covers and found, to my shock, yellow stained sheets!!! I called the front Desk and told them and they said..."What do you want us to do?" I again was shocked and said, you must be kidding me right, send someone up to change the sheets. The Housekeeping people finally came and the remainder of the evening was uneventful. It wasn't until the next morning, when reaching for a shower (bath) towel did I realize there were only face cloths in the bathroom. That was the last straw. No attention to detail - NONE.

Friendly staff, extremely small but clean room.

Not bad for a last minute booking. Great if you are not planning on staying in or spending a lot of time in the room. Appeared clean but there was hair in the bedding and shower had a little bit of mold in the corners.

we booked this hotel because we often stay in holiday inns and holiday inn expresses. It was nothing special but for the money it suited our purposes well. Not too far from all the action of times square and within walking distance to all the theaters. Very small room for 3 people but we weren't there much anyway. You'll pay ALOT more for something bigger and fancier in NYC.

The hotel was clean. The room was small, but useful. The breakfast was great. The hotel was convenient to everything.

The Holiday Inn Express was our base camp as we toured NYC. The hotel staff made our trip easier by checking our luggage immediately so we could start exploring the city even before we checked in to our room. We strolled down 5th Avenue window shopping, visited Macy's at 34th Street and took in Madame Tousaud's Museum. We dined at the Hard Rock cafe. We packed a lot into a 24-hour trip. Our only disappointment was the NBC Studio tour was sold out. So we toured Rockefeller Center instead of visiting NBC.

great location.The staff was very friendly and helpful.The room smelled funny and we didn't have pillow cases,but when we called the front desk they took care of it.The rooms are very small and no fridge.the parking garage they give the voucher for is awful

The hotel has a nice location in mid town. The rooms are small, but clean. The free breakfast is a nice treat. If the price is right it is a fair deal.
