Nice hotel + impressive service
Spent the weekend in NYC with gf, we had an amazing experience. The stay in the hotel was the best part. We lived on 35th flr and had a great view of the city. Staff there were super nice and friendly and the in-room dinning service was impressive. Highly recommend it!!

Amazing hotel, great location
We came with our grandaughters as a special treat. [...], one of the ladies at the hotel was so helpful, flowers, chocolates, cake were all laid on. We had beautiful views of the skyline and Hudson. The hotel was just a stone's throw from Time square which is fantastic whilst it was so easy to get to all the shops especially when the nearest subway station is literally next to the hotel entrance. Fantastic.

Short walk from hotel
If you are keeping to Manhatten, the subway system is fantastic and will get you to most places. At 29 dollars for the week, it is great value when compared to London. The nearest station is literally next to the hotel doorway!

Great Sisters Weekend
I selected the hotel for it's location, which was perfect -- one block from the center of Times Square, and a subway entrance right next door! The room was immaculate, and surprisingly spacious for Manhattan. The only negative was that the key card for the room kept getting damaged. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great Stay, Comfortable Bed
We used the concierge several times to get restaurants, directions and general help; and, they were always friendly and helpful. Our trip was for recreation. We stayed in a deluxe king room. The bed was a firm pillow top and very comfortable. The bathroom may be the best I have ever seen in a hotel. The shower is a waterfall from the ceiling with a hand held tool. The water pressure was just right and the water was plenty hot. The shower stall is extra large.

Staff are very friendly and will
Staff are very friendly and will do anything for you. The rooms are very well appointed with everything you could want if a little small. I got upgraded to a super deluxe king room and even then there was not much room to move around the bed and if you want to work there is virtually no desk space, and no table for eating. Room service bring a trolley and put it beside the bed. I had the usual translation problems from English English to American English, for example they didn't know what 'fruit bread' was so I got fruit cake for breakfast. But these are very minor things. If you are in New York as a tourist this is a great hotel. Right by Times Square, walking distance to Broadway and Central Park so lots to do and see. Trains and buses at the door so transport is really easy. And very pleasant surroundings. Having breakfast in the restaurant is a definite plus - food quality and service excellent.

NYC Adventure
Intercontinental Hotel was fabulous and the concierge(s) were great ... we even got theater tickets cheaper through the hotel than at the theater box office. Hotel city map wasn't as detailed as we wanted so we purchased one. Hotel location was perfect to city locations: Times Square, theater district, Empire State building and Macy's was quite a walk, but we planned to walk and did....weather was great.
