Nice Hotel

I reserved this room last minute (same day) and I only stayed at this hotel for one night. I checked in really late (around 11:30 PM) and for the 7 hours i was at the hotel it was very nice. there was a bar that looked hopping and the room was clean. i didnt see the restaurant. we paid a lot of money but for a last minute reservation it was very nice. i would stay here again.

Xmas in NYC

Our stay at the Intercontinental - Times Square was fine - BUT - upon returning I dicovered that we had not yet been credited with our payment thru your website weeks earlier and that additional authorizations had been made against my credit card account by the hotel totalling approx. $3,500. When I called their accounting dept., they apologized and said they would all be reversed in a few business days. No one explained that such charges would be made when we checked in or out. Their reception staff needs training in this area.

Good value especially at Christmas, Intercontinental

Staff were helpful and organized and when we arrived (and our luggage had not), they were sympathetic, moving us from a room with just a shower to a room with bath + shower. The conceriege staff also very good, tho understaffed. Could not believe that tho the hotel advertised itself as a "green hotel" there was no recycling to be seen.

Theater weekend/business trip

Perfect location for seeing a show and for getting around the city for business. Hotel was beautifully appointed. Staff very professional. LOVED the shower! Highly recommend Todd English's brasserie Ca Va - on a cold and snowy evening, couldn't be a better place for having cocktails an appetizers than in front of that lovely fireplace. BUT. Considering we were paying over $300 a night for the room - does the hotel have to charge $12.99 per day for Internet access? And block smartphone internet access? Really?

Lovely hotel

Across from Birdland, the hotel is in a great location and the rooms are well appointed. The staff is helpful and I liked staying there. It is the second time I stayed at this hotel and I would come back. The only down side is that I am a swimmer and they have no pool or place for a swimmer to go.

Actually this is one of the hotels I stay at when in NYC. Really don't appreciate a hotel of this caliber charging for every little thing like a holiday inn.

Fantastic NYC Location

The hotel is what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The best part is its location, one block from three different Broadway shows - Memphis, Phantom, Rock of Ages, four block from Grand Central Station, about five block from The Top of the Rock, and about eight blocks from Empire State building. If you want to walk a bit further you can reach Central Park from the hotel in about fifteen blocks. The only thing that could make the hotel better is some personalization of the rooms, as a boutique hotel would do. This would make it more intimate.

On the same block as the hotel is a French restaurant, Marseille, that has a impeccable brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.

Awesome Location

The room was clean except for a half eaten container of cashews that was left opened on the desk from a prior occupant. I was fearful that they would charge me for that container of cashews but they didn't. The location was just a block from Times Square and that made the trip. The bed was very comfortable with lots of throw pillows and the rain shower head had fantastic water pressure. They didn't have their own parking facilities but we got a spot directly across the street. Price wasn't to bad either for NY that is.
