The New York Marriott Marquis is the perfect home base to soak in the excitement of Times Square. The hotel is centrally located and is in close proximity to many theaters, shopping and dining. Booked two doubles and when we checked in a half hour early , they said they couldn't accommodate our third party booking. They gave us a king room with a rollaway bed. This was a bad start for our kids, and unnecessary stress for us. Getting luggage from bellhop was an issue when leaving. No problem getting car from the valet service. Concierge desk wasn't helpful with trying to get a wheelchair for the city. I felt the staff could have been more acccomodating.

The view of the river was fantastic (I prefer it to Times Square) and the bed was comfortable. I often have a hard time sleeping in motel rooms. I slept soundly and woke up refreshed. Staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant. I have no complaints.

Great location!
I guess we paid for the location because it was a bit pricey for the room. I was an average size room with the basics, but it was clean. If you want room service a plate of bacon and eggs would cost you $28 and that doesn't include the service fee or tip. We didn't even eat at the hotel restaurants because of how overpriced they were, but like i said i guess we paid for the location. Walk outside and we were in the center of time square. The only reason I would recommend this hotel is because of the location.

Try the subway they aren't that bad. They aren't like what you see in the movies or hear from people. Pretty clean and convenient.

This hotel has the best location you can get! It's right at the heart of Times Square. As you walk out the hotel doors, you are in Times Square. It's perfect!

Oly to NYC
Great Room Right in Times Square
The hotel is perfectly located and the room was bigger than we expected. The staff was very nice and our room was always restocked and clean when we returned each night. Other reviews complained about the elevators but we never had to wait more than a couple seconds and we spent the week there.

Great Hotel
We had a very nice room with a great view. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. There was always enough hot water and nice fluffy towels. It's expensive but for a first time NYC visit, it was the perfect place for us.

In Hotel
The View, a revolving lounge/restaurant at the top of the hotel has nice views, but it is way too expensive. The food was not that great, and if you order a cup of coffee, do not expect complimentary refills. You pay $5.50 for each cup. The ambience is nice, and if you don't mind spending lots of money for mediocre food and service, you will enjoy it.
